Spending money on 7s is a load of bollocks.

But sure look at what we're spending to 4 girls and a dog can watch the ladies team.

Then we are sorted, I don't think Fardy has reached the levels of last year yet and won't have huge objections if his contract is not extended given the improvement in Moloney and hopefully one of young lads coming through.

Fardy has been excellent for us this season and I'd offer him a new contract in a heartbeat.

He's no longer a key member of the starting team though. I think he's brilliant to have around but he fits the 'cover for starting Irish internationals' now rather than being needed in the 23 (even if he does make the 23 stronger).

Fardy would be in my 23 every week. He add's experience and bite.

Another year at least.

I didn't say he wouldn't be in mine. Just saying that he arrived as a clear starter, he'll renew as cover.

Lineout could be a bit vulnerable too, but I'm saying that not knowing how the Castres pack is set-up for that setpiece. Not sure it'll be all that great when time comes to freshen up the front row either...

Missing a baby eater in the row, we have a baby sweet stealer but could do with a brute, looks like we’re setup to run them around the pitch a bit.

Lineout should be fine. Beirne and POM are both brilliant there and Holland is the brains behind it.

The bench is definitely weakened though. Hanrahan, Mathewson, and maybe Botha are the only ones who'd be incolved but for injuries. Its great to see Wycherly get so much gametime.

Yeah very good, but really. This is a lad that was the 3 when we beat France to win the 6N only a few years ago - not many can say that.

We have some amazing talent emerged since, but is he low enough to just be discarded?

Bonkers Leinster team. I suppose if Louw plays 8 for Bath it's matching like with like putting Leavy there. Strange to leave out Conan. Perhaps he's not fully fit but if he isn't what's he doing there at all. Same with ROL. Molony's form means Fardy's absence won't be felt too much but it still could be a problem to be without what he can offer. Particularly in the ruck where Bath will look to threaten. Happy for Ed Byrne. Well deserved European debut on the way.

Wouldn't really call it bonkers, has Leavy played much at 8? Conan and ROL mustn't be fully fit. To be fair Noel Reid hasn't had a real shocker in a while. Bryan byrne is unlucky. This will prob be a bit of slug fest.

Bench is average . I’ve seen nothing from Parker to be excited yet. Early days of course. Kob Botha n matthewson are decent backup. Big step up for Wycherley. He’s got the ability I suppose it’s time to see how he goes. Jj meh.

Forwards not understanding back play isn't it :P Hugo Keenan was on the 7's team last year, Conroy is probably a bit lightweight for 15s.

7s has changed massively since the days of Cullen or Lomu doing it as a jolly for a year. Most players are 7s specialists.

On Moore, he's pretty much stopped the Ulster scrum being laughable since he came in.

I don't know if he'll ever play for Ireland again but I don't think he'd have come back if there wasn't some lure of international opportunities.

11 of 23 from Munster.
4 from Leinster.
3 from South Africa.
3 from England.
1 from Ulster.
1 from New Zealand.

11/23 is pretty good going. That'll be equivalent to Leinster having 22/23 homegrown.

I'm going to let you ponder how many ways this is wrong

Laying down a challenge to Jumper is the same as beating a 3 week old puppy. It's not right.

On Moore, he's pretty much stopped the Ulster scrum being laughable since he came in.

I don't know if he'll ever play for Ireland again but I don't think he'd have come back if there wasn't some lure of international opportunities.

Some lure of international opportunities?

Ah Jaysus.

Would a Subway franchise on the Larne-Stranraer ferry count?

Leavy has played 3 senior games at 8. Would have been a 7 all the way up.
