I’m sure he must be mistaken.
McCaw himself has said that any time he heard “No hands now, black 7, no hands, black 7, release black 7...” he was quite sure the ref was talking to Thierry Dusautoir.

The ABs should be made to charge into brick walls for 80 mins as a punishment.

The brick wall would then get cited

Man, lucky for you guys it wasn't the Boks v Italy game that got impacted. Since, you know, your lot lost to NZ.

This has nothing to do with the Boks. We have played all of our pool games. We are not running scared and blaming a potential bit of rain and wind for refusing to play against Italy.

While I appreciate Tier 1.5 nations like SA have lost to Italy before, there was no way NZ were ever going to lose. Move on with life man. There are better things to get agitated about.

Not agitated Bro, just disappointed that New Zealand are literally moving heaven and earth to avoid playing against Italy.

The very same Brian Moore who at the last RWC excitedly tweeted that Richie McCaw could be banned from the final because of foul play against Springbok Francois Louw. He even posted a clip of McCaw brushing past Louw as though that was the actual incident. When the frothing press cornered the bemused Louw, he quietly told them that the large cut on his cheek was from a team mate's elbow in a lineout.

Moore's always been threatening to become a grumpy old national treasure. But remains pretty much a complete dick. I think it's safe to say now that's where he's staying.

Post faux outrage to get your cheap thrills. The reality is that its shocking that Italy and Scotland are being treated like this. There can be no defense. None.

I hope that helps.

It's up to Ireland to save rugby by knocking the disgusting braggarts out. We are all Irish for that 80 minutes.

Well here’s Gregor Townsend’s opinion on such things

Quote:
”The rules are the rules,” he said. “The Ireland game cannot be postponed, it has to be played that day. If it cannot be played that day then it’s two points for each team.

I find it interesting that the biggest winners from all of this, England, seem to have escaped any form of comment. Clearly a conspiracy.

Very smart on ABs part if true.
Why should the other 2 nailed on QF bound teams (not naming and shaming them) get a free pass.

Hansen asked for the game to be played on Friday but organizers denied him, why in the hell would the All Blacks want to play on a Monday before a possible 1/4 final with Ireland?

Poor from WR if true. Surely moving the game one day forward makes more sense than delaying it two days & impacting QF prep time.

They could still be playing today. Get in the bus, get down the park, and get it on. Back to the hotels before a drop of rain falls.
Both teams are in the same city, the field is ready to go presumably, everything is in place. Right now it's only 7-8AM there isn't it?

Has World Rugby commented on this? If true that sounds like a good compromise and a shame it didn’t get the go ahead. World Rugby have said that if changes couldn’t work for everyone, they couldn’t apply for anyone. If NZ made that offer perhaps some of the other impacted/potentially impacted sides weren’t prepared to change - i.e Japan, England, France etc?
