But not as bad as the penalty Owen Farrell kicked in 2017 to beat the All Blacks.

Had my best round ever yesterday. 77 off the stick and went 1 under for the front nine (par 72). Makes the back nine sound bad but I did have on line putts stop 10 cm or so from the hole on 4 holes in a row on that nine!! Not a remarkable round for a single figure handicapper but I was playing off 16 and so had 47 stableford points.

Congrats man nice round. First time breaking 80?

First time I broke 80 was quite similar. I was having a good front nine until I tripled the ninth and made the turn six over. :x

But then I shot 1 under for the back nine for 77.

A rare sight last Friday

Ex Irish Rugby International throwing up the best part of 5 pints of Guinness that he had tried to down in one from a very large " yard of ale" glass!
In front of 170 charity guests.

On his return from the bogs someone thoughtfully gave him a pint of Guinness

I play regularly with a member at my club who must be fairly unique in rugby terms.
Was a Lion without ever representing his country 🧐

You were fine when you weren't relying on the chief-choker, Henry, to miss a tiddler which is where it normally all went downhill on the greens...

I have thicker grips than standard but there are even thicker models available. Supposed to help take the wrists out of the stroke. I like them but not sure I'm putting any better. :)

I have a medium grip on my Odyssey 2Ball putter, and the idea is that it stops you breaking your wrists when putting. I find it more effective on slower greens for some reason, but on quicker greens in the middle of summer I rely on my venerable Ping Anser. I should point out that when I say more effective I actually mean less bad.

I got a blinding deal as a guy at the golf club had just been fitted for them but after one round decided he didn’t like the look of them and wanted the brand new pro model, so I had them fitted and loft & lie sorted new shafts (115g) and grips slightly thickened for £1115 😁😁

Feel that the RC is very much going to just keep swapping hands to whichever team is at home given how the courses are set up.
