Red Bull Arena? A weekend in NYC combined with the match would be pretty tempting for me.

Yeah, could maybe talk the missus into that.

Does anyone feel like instead of playing the Maoris last night, it may be better doing something like playing Canada in a curtain raiser at Soldier Field today before the Ireland-NZ match? It may not be possible to the organizers regards to ticket sales and generating revenue, but not sure what we gain having an all-domestic lineup get killed by an opponent far superior to us. We don't even get the exposure with last night because it wasn't on TV.

Sorry, soccer-related post.

After Mexico busted their duck and finally won at Columbus, Ohio, this last Friday night 2-1, the U.S. Soccer Men are still standing on their duck at Saprissa tonight as the Costa Ricans have a 4-0 win. 2nd-hardest away game and hardest home game to be fair, but that puts us starting off the Hex at 0-2.

I'll be surprised if Klinsmann lasts the month.

Anybody watching the USA-Tonga game? Tied at 17, at the 56th minute currently.

Only been watching for a few minutes but we're actually looking pretty dangerous on attack. I heart John Mitchell.

We were about to score a beautiful try around the 50th minute but it was called back on a somewhat questionable forward pass call. Just had a second try disallowed because of a far less questionable obstruction call.

Check that, Tonga just went up by 3.

They are paying him 3 mill a year, no way do they eat that contract. He is here to stay until 2018 or bust.

Couldn't tell ya, haven't been able to see much rugby myself, though did find some time this morning thankfully.

Here's the USA-Romania match though if you get the chance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnHOtMdceTI

And this channel has a lot of games in good quality, even some of the more obscure matches (saw a bit of Germany-Uruguay and Tonga-Spain here): https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0PCz1 ... =0&sort=dd

They have 4 or 5 guys from Eastwood RFC here in Sydney running around for them at present.

Also known by the acronym OMBAC. Probably the 2nd or 3rd best club in California and probably right around the top 10 nationally? So a good club that has put out quite a few Eagles over the years.

Note: that's only referring to proper clubs and doesn't include the PRO teams.

Grand, thanks. He's a very handy player who has been putting in quality performances for years in the AIL so hopefully he does well over there.

Another random bump... any indication when the date and location of this game may be confirmed?

I'll be visiting the NY area a few times next year and would like to arrange things to coincide with this game, assuming it happens.

It will be on June 10, very likely at the Newark NJ soccer stadium but not confirmed.

Last check he was 95th percentile height and 18th percentile weight, so maybe a lock, although since then he's started nursing and eating much better to his mother's satisfaction.

Lineout is killing the Canucks. I really like Campbell. Makes good decisions, is a strong runner and defender. I'd probably have him starting at 13 over Palamo in June.

I'm going to be in NY at the same time as the USA v Ireland game and am trying to buy tickets from the Ticketmaster website but have just got a "we could not process your request, please try again later" error for a few days.

I don't know if this is because I'm trying to buy from the UK or not.

Predictably, Ticketbastard don't seem to offer any assistance and every time I've called, I get a message saying all their operators are busy.

Has anyone managed to buy tickets yet?

I am the States and I am getting the same thing. Frustrating as I am trying to buy before all the tickets go to resale.

I gave up on Ticketmaster and contacted the Red Bull Arena direct and spoke to a real person who was extremely helpful. She set up a NY Red Bulls account for me and took the order for rugby tickets so I was then able to log in to the account and download the tickets.

I've been to NY lots of times before but never to the area of NJ where the stadium is... it seems to be a bit of an industrial wasteland. Anyone know if there is much craig around the stadium itself?

We will probably go into the city to eat etc but stay by the stadium. We live in a rural/beach area so the city should be fun.

Ask him about PR pages always going white.
Seriously, ask him what steps the BOA can take to keep quality coaches {like Mitchell}. The previous coach was embarrassing.
