It doesn't happen too often and I doubt we'd do it this season if we get as far as Tipp. When Bubbles loses the belly you know Tipp are getting to at least a final.

It is May.

A point another Tipp man made to me today. The worry is peaking too early.

Most of Tipp's rough stuff is done off the pitch. Dirty hurlers when the pints are involved.

I turned on the last 5 minutes of Galway-Wexford. Galway don't look great for potential AI contenders. Wexford should really have won that at the end.

Went to Tullamore to watch our lads put in a very disappointing performance v Laois.

Better team won but the football was awful.

Like watching Olympic handball.

Heard the Longford v Kildare was proper 15 on 15 which is great to hear

Probably the worst showcase of finishing you'll ever see from both Galway and Wexford.
2017 was defo the peak of this side but our scoring difference against Carlow will hurt us this year.

The fall off is amazing. Based on what has gone out so far ye are well off the pace.

Leinster is a grand warm up though so there should be plenty of time to get going.

Had been a good start from clare against the wind, but tipp bastards on top now. O donnell, kelly , conlan not in it.
Still, wind should be worth a few.

Says it all when our best players substituted. Same ole with clare, all skill and fancy shit when the want to be but no spine to that team. If we had the backs and midfield of the 90's with todays forwards we would be unstoppable.
Still might put a few quid on them after today tho. Am feeling lucky, just did the euromillions.

Clare are thick.

Why play a sweeper when you're so far behind and it's not even working anyway?

Fancy shit, trying to play the ball around instead of getting it in there. The coaches are out of their depth. When down that much, push up and just get the ball in there.

In hurling when you have the wind you need to keep the half forwards as far out as possible otherwise you end up congesting the forward line .

Clare just got too far behind and started hitting in long balls which ended up going over the end line.

Not a single cross field ball from Clare .

Tipp look to have the timber they’ve been lacking for years. They’ve always been ridiculously skillful team. Clever selections too tho. Especially Ronan Maher who’s cleaning up. Surprised at Clare’s inability to work their way back into the game like they did v galway last year. All the wides crucified them. It’s going to be some humdinger next week now. Do or die for both. Normally Clare have our number but a hiding of that nature will take a bit to recover from.

Limerick upped their aggression and work rate but Waterford were so poor it’s hard to make much of it.

Two games will determine the pool Clare limerick and Clare cork. Cork will hockey Waterford and I’d much rather not be hoping for points in thurles.

Its unusual for clare to work their way back into games. They are usually way ahead and then let the other team come back. Need to sort out upstairs. But yeah next week will be interesting.

It’ll be a big crowd in limerick next week.
What’s the story with conlons elbow guard? Is that new? he seemed a shadow of last year today. Kelly normally excellent against us.

Kinda thought all week that tipp were in the long grass.

Limerick kicked off their season today. I expect them to beat Clare handy enough. Can see Clare beat Cork and Tipp won't let up against Limerick in Thurles so it will be 3 teams on 4 points. Could be bad news for Clare then on points difference.

Either way, Tipps form is ominous for the rest

Dunno about the elbow guard. Presume some recent injury. He was good the last day, as was o donnell and kelly. I suppose thats a positive, that those big players cant be that bad again. Still though, terrible performance for a home game.

It’s on head to heads isn’t it. Which makes limerick v Clare so crucial as we’ve lost v cork.

I wouldn't bet against Limerick, they could well beat Tipp.

Didn't know that. But if it pans out the way I reckon then they'll all have beaten each other. Probably won't though. Cork will probably lose to Waterford

Next Sunday will decide the season for limerick or Clare. Put simply if we lose I’m not at all confident we’d go to thurles and save our season (even a win wouldn’t guarantee it I think ). Similarly if Clare have been beaten by both their nearest and dearest psychologically they’re done. Rebels have their number.

Next Sunday is winner takes all I think. Add in the needle of last year’s trimming in ennis and the palpable dislike between the teams in the league.
Expect blood in the water
