How about 10k to someone whom the judge said was

ie lied through her teeth.

Disghraceful from the judge. Lying in court no longer makes you a dodgy witness.

It’s f**ked up. It’s like the judge feels obliged to just hand out 10grand by default. They are nutters.

Of course, once anything is handed out her costs are covered.

It's a fúcking great scam by the lawyers.

Put up a lying client and still get the insurance company to pay your costs.

Whilst that particular case doesn't make me lose sleep, watch our lawyer friends try and drive a coach and four through it in the future for some more unsavoury characters.

If you escape and get away with it aided by Garda error, you don't need to go back? As long as you're not on the run?

I wonder does she realise that this little sham might put her 200K+ job as a TD under some serious pressure come the next GE. I would have large reservations voting for her to represent me in DE if she can't even sit on a swing without going arse over tit . Some people have no shame.

FF councillor attacked while doing a clean up and left with a broken wrist, she was beaten while lying on the ground.

I know Rachel.

First time candidate and a really nice girl. Incredible that the Guards won't bother their arse responding to the assault of a local Political Candidate.

They're a disgrace.

I'd trust a woman who can't use a swing properly to run our country, no problem.

No supervision ffs. What else does she need to be supervised with I wonder.

I'm sure they know exactly which local toe rags were responsible, but also know that unless the assault was captured on CCTV they haven't a hope of getting a conviction.

The days of Lugs Brannigan dispensing instant justice are long over, for right or wrong.

FFS. They rear ended a car and then attacked her because she saw it? I hope they rear end more cars, but at higher speeds with no helmets.

I’m loving the fact that the hotel is going public with this, calling her out for the dirty little parasite that she is. While we are at it, let’s mention Josepha Madigan’s ambulance chaser family business (brother) who are taking the case.

Nice touch, if a little crazy by the owners.

The hotel have famous swings at the entrance to the lifts. Middle aged idiot attempts to go on swings and snots herself. How the fudge does this shit even make it to court. It’s also likely career suicide.

I have to stop clicking on the links as I always end up on a story of the child murder case. I can't help thinking the parents of the 2 alleged murderers should be strung up. They clearly support their kids lying through their teeth and also, the mother of the one who claims he was beaten up by two older lads washed his clothes, twice, before handing them over to police to 'help' catch the assailants. With parents like that it is no wonder there is an increasing number of feral scum in Dublin.

I haven't read much other than headlines in the last couple of weeks, so I'm not up to speed on all the details; but surely no parent would believe that their 13 year old kid could rape someone and then bludgeon to death?
Wouldn't know how you'd react when it increasingly looks like they actually may have done it. I wouldn't be surprised if all rationality goes out the window.

That's not any kind of defence of the parents' behaviour, just musing about how the average person would handle it.
