https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8C2jBLTnBs

N'empeche... 20 ans... Et ben...

Very sad day when a Rugby player dies playing Rugby, Pro D2 Aurillac centre Louis Fajfrowski passed away just after the match he had to quit due to a violent chock. This happened during the friendly played versus Rodez. He was 21... He learnt his Rugby at Montpellier's academy.

Impressive start by Racing and Castres, Toulouse can also be pleased with the draw. It is going to be a tough Top14.

I have seen the Young Ezeala playing for Clermont. Remember all the noise around his KO, but in Truth, the guy is a real monster!

Very quiet indeed. French Rugby supporters are clearly lacking enthusiasm...

Good start from ASM, SF, Racing Castres and Toulouse!

Racing will be a tough nut to crack.

Ezeala is super quick. Super young. Is he French??

Good start for ST. Never thought they would get a result in Lyon. I think their squad will be too light in the end but I hope they give their youngsters a proper go at it this year.

Ezelea is qualified I think or will shortly but he has a Spanish passport.

He is quite decent technically (his pass to Toeava was a peach)

Ezelea was adopted by a Spanish couple and has grown in Barcelona.

I wouldn't read much in the ASM win, Agen just fail to defend in the second half. Next week-end will be an interesting test.

Azéma interview to l'Equipe made me laugh when he talked about Ezeala in the context of the trip to Racing (he was knocked out during a Racing-ASM game, in a spectacular manner):

Quote:

Salut Forumistes vieillissants! Où est donc passée votre assiduité?

So, second round of Top14, and some teams are off the starting blocks at impressive speed! I am positively surprised by Clermont, I thought the Victory over Agen was a bit of an illusion, with a very poor Agen defense, but winning in Arena is a statement of intent clearly made. I am delighted to see the club back on the front scene, and without any European Cup to battle for, they will be able to manage the squad when others will struggle with fitness and players availability. Watch out for Clermont this year.

Stade Français and Castres are also on a 100% record which bodes well for the future, though Castres had a big scare and I hope this will serve them in the long run. Toulouse joins the front 4 with an excellent start too, and I can't wait to see the Toulousains at full steam.

The Top14 is going to be as tough as ever, and we clearly have a signal this year that most teams will try to get points away from home, leading to a positive trend, as teams having lost at home will seek victories away to recover. I reckon there will be plenty of good battles this year, and little forfeited matches.

Lyon and Toulon are already on red alert, Toulon more so than Lyon but Lyon will be heavily disappointed losing after having led 16-3 at half time in Castres.

Agen are the best positionned of all teams promised to the relegation struggle, thanks to their home game against Perpignan. Perpignan and Grenoble having already lost once at home will need to get points quickly to break the infernal cycle.

On Clermont side, interesting to see Uhila slowly rising to the standards at LHP. Surprised to see Iturria used at 6, but not a bad plan at all. With Jedrasiak out for a long time (cruciate ligaments), Iturria however has a future in the engine room in blue, with Vahaamahina on his side. And a youth player at 7, Azéma made some bets with the backrow!

Je lisais les stats de Lapandry en 2017-2018: 2 missed tackles for 242 attempted tackles, more than 30 tackles average per game!

Iturria was playing blindside and had a great game there. Food for thoughts!!

Toulouse is having a good start to their season, great results away. They messed up opportunities too so there is more to it than what they have shown to-date. ASM were impressive.

let's face it, age is taking its toll + top 14 is not so sexy tbh, i tried to watch a bit of SF vs UBB this week end, as much as i'm pleased with the result, the handling mistakes and technical level was truely dire and tbh quite boring

i admire the true passionate that manage to keep up with our sport regardless, but i must confess i'm not so keen to keep on watching rugby regularly

therefore if you could please update us on a regular basis, with game results, tactical analysis and a rating of hot supportices you'd be very kind :D

tbh, I don't watch much rugby either, and this year is the first year I only watched couple French international games in a season. Usually, I would not miss the Automn Internationals and the 6N.

Ollivon injured again, career ending probably.

This is why l don't follow rugby that closely anymore. The second we get a talented player he gets broken.
