 the totally irrational reaction to the T word. Looking across the river at the construction of the Docklands and it is a total farce. A stumpy waste.

The point the ad makes is completely accurate.

But surely the point of the ad is to put pressure on DCC/Government to fix the problem. And I'm not sure using Trump does that.

It's a bit like quoting Hook to argue your point, he might have actually said something right for once but you lose credibility using him to back you up.

Blame the wit kant in the marketing department who decided to use a full page ad in a newspaper as an opportunity to troll it up.

Circumstances change. Couples split up, people fall out of love, people lose jobs and suddenly the landlord is caught in the middle.

So attack that, not protection for the people who are paying.

It's fairly stupid because most normal people will know that direct comparisons between Dublin and cities that have populations of 20 and 10 million people respectively is a bit silly.

Sure why don't we compare the heights of buildings between Skibereen and Frankfurt and develop "points" based on that!

Exactly and you'll find that Dublin is way out of whack with heights in similarly sized or even smaller cities, like say Helsinki but no, the Ronan boys went out of their way to harm their own cause by adding trolling into a silly comparison.

Yes they over egged their argument. (Even if the ad itself said if you are going to think, think big)

But it doesn't detract from the point they are making.

Just as an FYI, your argument with Frankfurt and skibereen is the EXACT same argument as the ad is making only the inverse

Don't need to as I've been there.

Send it onto the Ronan group though. They could use the help to avoid gaffes like the one above.
Edit: Unless it's a pisstake because the other ad with other Salesforce offices was good.

TO GET THE ISSUE IN TO THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SO PEOPLE TALK ABOUT IT.

The rtb site doesn’t say anything to that effect. Think the notice is the notice. But worth remembering with HAP the payment goes directly to the landlord so at a minimum you will receive something. I’m guessing this is a response to people claiming they’ve been turfed out to claim they’re homeless and so skip the housing list que.
I have only had few tenants who had their entire rent paid for them, most on hap do say 20 hours cleaning and so on.

You still have to give them the required notice. I had a tenant whose lease had expired and wanted to go month to month as father was very ill. I still had to give her 6 months notice.

I see the BBC are set to stop the pensioners’ exemption for the licence fee. It’s the correct decision as this is a huge cohort of the population and the exemption is based on sentimentality. We don’t have the stomach for these types of hard decisions here, the “they worked hard all their lives” brigade would be out in force.
