I resent that and you have zero idea what sacrifices had to be made for that opportunity. So...Jou Moer.

Really exciting times for my Diablo....tomorrow the movie shoot starts .... Set up in Noordhoek. Its aimed at a whole marketing campaign. I still cannot believe that an idea someone put into my mind developed into this monster that is slowly slipping out of my control. I have had so many people approach me for an agency which I have handed over to my master agent to work out. All I want to do is make them and sell them to the agent and have as little to do with the clients as possible...I am glad that I took my time before going full steam ahead...2 years of trials...changes. You lot have been part of that whole process from the very first one I made and took home. Cannot wait to see the final advert. i am like a proud Dad...

Interesting thread. Thanks SH'ers.

I'm still cooking on gas. Weber Genesis.

I tried an experiment with that and a charcoal competitor.

No difference, at all. So what does your technique bring to the table?

I get the authentic experience but I turn it on, bung meat on it it and everyone's happy.

Hit the burners full time, Use the Weber brush to scrape and we are in line for the next one.

Hassle free.

It's not the same flavour. With a gas BBQ you are getting a different 'type' of smoke which give the flavour.

It's also not the same experience as getting your coals searing hot, gas seems too easy. Wood is used too here.

I don't have a gas braai at home, but I've tasted meat braaied on gas that were pretty damn good. My go-to is wood fire braai, but it's always nice to try different things. Lately I like to smoke meat in my Weber.

I missed the shoot...had to go visit some sites unfortunately...
Next phase is to shoot at some restaurants that have one...and some shoots at my home on my unit.
I am also delivering one to another chef this week that is going to run a weekly blog.

Hey Chilli...do you know Grant Kipling...he is doing the product development.

It's a shitty photo but my guess is closer to 40. The tummy tells me she's had kids and you'll probably have to tune the volume knobs just a bit North of the belly button once the wonder bra comes off.

I never said she was not "leker" I'm married to a 40 year old mommy of two though so I know at least a bit about the subject at hand. She's a looker alright but you can see time is taking it's toll. She's at an angle but I'm pretty certain there's the slight beginnings of a sagging arse as well.

Regards the height of the bar. We have attachments that clip onto the bar that have hooks for hanging meat above the tray that lifts up and down. This type of roasting I haven't tried but I have the attachment and when I get it home I am going to try. There is another attachment which is very popular in South Africa. A grid...round bar ... that runs across the top bars. It clips on. They rest different sausage and meat products there to get smoked.
I dont have pics on hand .
This has been bothering me so I took some pics of the attachments that go on my braai...

So when you crank your grid up your meat hanging from the hooks doesnt touch your grid

Nah just stating the obvious. Mature ladies are the best. They know what they want out of life and have experience in the things that mater the most. But lets not kid ourselves, time caches up with everyone eventually. Even though I'm still an absolute Adonis I can live with the imperfections, I actually prefer it. I love my wife with every fiber of my being even though she's getting on a bit and not perfect everywhere anymore, she's still perfect for me.

Nice!. I am not sure how you would use those hooks but anyhow I see your are deep into the flames art, I recomend you to take a look or even more try to buy the book from Francis Mallmann FUEGOS in which he explains the thousand techniques of flame, grill, etc etc. cooking meats and vegs.

Because in my opinion you will be able to get more and more ideas for new cooking devices, he uses something similar to cooking with hooks.
