Barring Injuries of course. Just want Billy fit..

Nathan Hughes won't be involved.

I reckon we'll see the Hask back @ 7

Roko is also out, much more likely to be Jack Nowell on the bench.

Sam Moore is extremely highly rated at Sale, I remember reading somewhere that he declined an invitation to the Wales senior squad in the autumn
Not surprised that Curry is in there, he's been superb for us this season. Should be in the senior squad though :frown:

Stolen from Puja on rugbyrebels forum:

Quote:
BCurry has played 627 minutes (7.8 full games). In that time, he has won 4 turnovers, conceded 11 penalties, made 133 tackles (16.97) with only 7 missed. In attack, he has made 10 clean breaks, beaten 15 defenders, given one try-scoring pass, made 214m (27.3), 25 passes (3.19) and has conceded 5 turnovers. He has also won 10 lineouts.

Running the numbers for TCurry just for the sake of it, he has played 260 minutes (3.25 games), won 3 turnovers, conceded 3 penalties, made 60 tackles (18.46) with 4 missed. In attack, he has made 1 clean break, beaten 6 defenders, 54m (16.62), made 7 passes (2.15) and conceded 4 turnovers. He has also won 3 lineouts.

Ben is better in attack, Tom better in the breakdown I'd say from that (more turnovers per 80, and less penalties).

Thanks. Seen him play for Bath a couple of times, will have to pay a bit more attention to him.

To be honest fuck knows with Eddie. All we know is that Dylan's the starter and Jamie's the reserve. After that it seems to change with each new day

Having a great season, similar to last year. Nothing flash but huge workrate, loads of tackles, good lineout and lots of carrying.

LCD is just back from injury while Tommy Taylor will be back later this month after Eddie broke him immediately after the AP final

Thats pretty much what I remember thinking of him in the limited number of games I have seen of him.
Workrate was definitly impressive.

Granted Bath's tactics create a chance for this, but is that what England want? Actually England do often seem happier to give the ball away rather than work the ball on attack

Eddie seems to have drawn up a list of all the "second-choice" or Saxons players (including the actual Saxons players from the last tour) and decided none of them will ever get a look in again

Robson, Haley, Kvesic, Cipriani, Devoto, Ewers, Lewington, Wade etc are all permanently in the wilderness, it seems

Eddie is only after the first-choice and the third/fourth choice players

LI bring in Arno Botha and Piet van Zyl with immediate effect from the Bulls

Probably too little too late, but both fill gaps in theory (decent 9 and ball carrying back row). Assumes Botha is over the injury that led to the cancellation of his transfer to Ulster last summer.

Was randomly checking some Exeter twitter stuff (trying to find out what's the deal with Ollie Devoto, as clash mentioned him) and came across this cracker: https://twitter.com/StuartTownsend9/sta ... 4518921217 (read from the top)

Nice! Though, tbf, making Olly Barkley look like a pr!ck isn’t especially difficult!

I'm not sure assaulting refs will help their plight.

What were the England medical team planning on doing? The mind boggles.

Great minds, fatcat ... I made a similar joke (shoring up the front row, with pic thrown in) on the transfer thread. :)

... for something completely different ... remember that wing from Oakham that was tearing it up in the U15 Cup a few years ago? I didn't know he was in Tigers' academy, but it seems he wants to give the NFL a try?

We'll soon find out. Karl Dickson at the weekend...

Edit - I am always amazed by the size of van Zyl's gut in the picture Nieg posted on the other thread. It's magnificent.

He's got nothing on that guy you (unfortunately) see at Blue Bulls matches.

Why not Ibitoye? I think he’ll be very good.

He could well become a very good club player but top class wingers usually show their class while still very young. I realise he still is very young but I look at him compared to say Charlie Walker and I think there's a big gulf, and I just don't see him getting many opportunities over the next couple of years. Plus his defence is very suspect.

He's also not that quick. He's got good feet and an eye for the line, but he's probably better suited to centre in attack, but again his defence is iffy.

Mine turned up a few days ago, but won't have it for another month or so (assuming mum brings it out with her), she suggested it looks a bit small which is a worry.

Wore my lovely Wasps training shirt at my first training session for 3 weeks a few days ago, legs still ache.

Anyone with ears in camps able to suggest why Umaga isn't in the u20s?
