Obviously it's pretty small fry in the grand scheme of things but should get close to a sellout by the time the game rolls around. Could end up being a bit of a dead rubber though - that loss to Newcastle really hurt us :frown:
They've been pushing this game pretty hard and as most local clubs have finished their season there will naturally be more people interested in going. 2 buses going from the 'bach.

That’s a bit of a fall? No money?

I think so..they have had to rely on older players this year (which made them absolute b*stards to scrummage against if nothing else).

Gonna be hard for them as lots of local rivals will gleefully pillage their better players (returning the favor) and they are loosing 2-3 to retirement..
Ah you’re in with Shelford, I know quite a few of their lads :)- decent standard of rugby that

nowt to do with Eddie, its just my opinion :D

Is he that flogged? I realise he was on the lions tour, but he's split a lot of playing time with Brits/Hartley (I've no clue re the actual numbers)

Never wish career threatening injuries on anyone - but it'll be good for England - at the very least Hartley will be well rested for next season - potentially we'll see a better player established at Hooker and, with someone else taking the captaincy, EJ may become less worried about that aspect of the team.

An absolute dickhead. He repeatedly posts crap, tends to piss the players and media off, and deletes most of his "predictions" that come wrong. He also goes through games with a fine tooth comb looking for anything that looks remotely cite-able and tries to make a big stink out of it.

Just some parasite trying to make money off the sport.

What's been his history with concussion? Has he had so many that he couldn't just sit out until, say, next season or even early 2019?

Until this, he"s had nothing - which i think is part of where the rumours come from. Fact is, if you're out for 6 months then you're just as likely gone for good as safe to return at the bare minimum. The rumours are that the start of next season is really just delaying tge inevitable decision

Saints do not have a history of making these sorts of decisions public

Two years ago, Hartley said that he feared his career could be over if he suffered another head blow, after he missed 14 weeks of the season through two separate concussions. The 32-year-old admitted that he did not remember lifting the 2016 Six Nations trophy after being concussed in the Grand Slam-sealing victory over France.

Agreed. If it is career ending, he’ll be disappointed to have gone out on really poor seasons for England and Saints.

Massive double-blow for Saints too if Hartley and Horne are gone. Losing two of your most influential first XV players in one go would be a challenge for any club.

Not to mention Day and Myler. Three former captains and three players that the team has been built around for the last 8 years.

I was starting to get a little excited about next season but Horne has been a massive blow, he was the one shining light this season.

If Hartley does retire at least it will free up some of the salary cap for reinforcements in the pack, which are badly needed.

Any London Scottish types here? Any comments on Sam Neal? He's apparently signed for Wasps. From highlights he seems to have fairly good hands for a big lad (6'5" centre).

Ross Neal surely? Unless they have another tall Neal playing centre.

Was senior academy at LI for three years, but just missed out on a senior contract. I would have rather kept him than Hearn. Formed a pretty decent centre partnership with Mosses at LS since.

He looks pretty decent, but you never know how they'll make the step up.

Ross then, sorry, just read the name quickly :D.

Hopefully he'll make the step up, only 22, so still plenty young enough to develop. Hopefully he'll follow in the footsteps of Thompson, Bassett, Cruse and Reider.

Variety is useful. I guess he'll spend a season in the gym and A-league, and then the coaches will make a call.

One of my best pals is a season ticket holder and one of the minis coaches - I would ask him, but he knows f*ck all about rugby.
