Thanks J.
This clock tower is going to be repaired. They were talking about leaving one clock face frozen as a memorial (the clock stoped at the time of the quake), but have decided against it.
This old building is also being saved.
Unfortunately this one wasn't and is now a vacant lot.

Carlton country club (also posted earlier, but a different pic), was just across the road from it.
Just one of many businesses in temporary premises

A temporary art gallery called the art box project taking advantage of some of the new space around the city. The straps holding the dinner table and chairs were all made out of quake support wrist bands.
And this is in the botanical gardens.

To be fair, that pics is from before the quakes really made it shitty.

My wife and I stopped in at the Port Hole when we went to Lyttleton last November, fantastic little bar! Very friendly place. Also had a few at the Wunderbar across the road.
Good times.

I still struggle to get my head around it and I live here!
Kiwias, I walk through the park several times a week. Always puts me in a good mood.
Trapper, it's a great we bar alright. And usually has some craft beer options. Wunderbar is always fun as well. I'm glad it survived. Alway thought it felt a bit like walking into a Quentin Tarantino movie. Here's some shots of it for those who don't know it.
