Typical of the lefties to play the man rather than the ball. They must remember the days of 17% interest rate recession we must have Keating attacking John Hewson and the rest of the opposition.

Bill Shorten doesn’t know if he is a puppet for the Greens or the CFMEU. A vote for Bill is a vote for paying more tax, risking losing a significant part of your inheritance and non costed climate change policies to get well over the Paris Agreement (and to distribute to developing countries).

Prior to it becoming over populated and turned in to Luton by the Bay. Bouncers weren’t getting shot and pedestrians run over in the City by nut jobs who claim to be attached to ISIS when I was there.

1. Tax the rich
2. No car tax
3. Invest in solar and wind tech.
4. TV series shown immediately or companies are fined
5. Chinese secondary language

I sont think picking a language that we need to teach is a great idea. However, Auatralian schools are so disjointed that people learn a couple of years of lots of different languages and never spend any real time on one.
Plus you need to keep up with a language to keep it and in a place like Auatralia that isnt going to happen.
So I would like to see more consistency is what is taught, and I dont think Mandarin is such a bad idea for that language.

It's hard to take you seriously since you started quoting Mark Latham and Pauline Hansen to support your beliefs.

On Insiders on Sunday Barrie Cassidy said that at this election the United Australia Party has spent 4 times as much on advertising as the two major parties spent at the 2016 Federal election combined. This is unprecedented. I'm watching Masterchef tonight and there are two UAP ads every single ad break.

This is the crux of the issue for me. I dont agree with the franking credit policy proposed by Labor.
Franking credits are taxed at the business tax rate of 30%. They should be dealt with as a tax paid. If you need to pay less tax than that you get a refund

What I think should happen is retirees, like every other member of society, should pay tax at the income tax rates. Why do they get a tax break? I have no issue on drawing down on capital, tax has already been paid on that. But you dont get a franking credit for that. But if you earn $100k per year interest, thats an income and required the inputs of the government to earn that. Pay tax on it.

Congratulating your own post and speaking in the third person reminds me of Coog.

Australia has an ageing population been that way for over a generation and these retirees paid tax all their working lives. Not just on their income but their savings that usually comes out of income that is already taxed. Follow that up getting heavily taxed on Super which supposed to self fund their retirement and keep them off the state pension.

So they should get tax breaks. The ALP/Get Up/Greens crowd will next be after inheritance money set aside for their children who are struggling with HECS debts, paying sky high rents and struggling to save for deposits on over priced poorly constructed property. With the banking Royal Commission fallout and crackdown on handing out loans to applicants with student debts it is going to be tougher to get a mortgage than it already is. The cost of a Uni education was high when we went through it, fees are far worse now. Even TAFE is becoming exorbitant.
