He has also threatened to quit if the ALP wins govt and if soliciting for sexual favours in public male public toilets is made illegal, so who knows what's happening?Brumbie_Steve wrote:Just switched back in time to see Alan Jones fuming over Abbott. Didn't he threaten to quit if Abbott lost?
Victoria is where it has to come through for ALP isn’t it if they are going to get over the line?Slim 293 wrote:Queensland gonna Queensland...
Going by the jacket he had on I thought he had already lost a bet and wearing that was the forfeit.Ali's Choice wrote:He has also threatened to quit if the ALP wins govt and if soliciting for sexual favours in public male public toilets is made illegal, so who knows what's happening?Brumbie_Steve wrote:Just switched back in time to see Alan Jones fuming over Abbott. Peter and I had a chat today at the polling station. Next time I see him I'll pass on all your well wishes.swc wrote:And Abbottfreewheelan wrote:Hopefully that Yougov poll is accurate. If Labor wins the icing on the cake would be Dutton losing his seat, I can't stand that shïtbag.
Nah, it seems that Queenslanders are trying to drag us all down...Crazy Ed wrote:How's it going my comrades? At this stage it would appear that less Australians than I expected are stupid.
Not much overall. There are swings to LIB in a number of seats as well. It's not the election disaster for Coalition some had predicted is it?Slim 293 wrote:Nah, it seems that Queenslanders are trying to drag us all down...Crazy Ed wrote:How's it going my comrades? The rest of the country showing swings to the ALP.
So far just Queensland mainly bucking the trend... a lot of strong swings towards the ALP in safe Liberal seats they’ll hang onto.TranceNRG wrote:Not much overall. Morrison has only been the leader for a very short period comared to Shorten yet he was seen as the better leader. Why's that? Shorten has the charisma of a wet blanket?
Who is next up on the chopping block for the ALP? Plibersek? She has just won Sydney by 71% (channel 9 projection), and apparently the safest seat in the country.Bindi wrote:Obviously a very very good campaign by the Libs in hindsight - targeted just the right seats. Labor will be stronger under a better leader next time. Unfortunate result, but that's life.

If it’s any consolation, the least worst party won (Libs were “more of the same” and were conservative).swc wrote:If that’s the case extremely disappointing. Labor has an exceptional cabinet. ALP was to embarrassed to even wheel out anyone other than scomo. Shorten seems a genuine consensus leader that knows how to negotiate. Opportunity lost on personalities which is bewildering as scomo is a total fuckwit.
The gap between the haves and have nots is about to get wider. Suspect they’ll have a friendly senate as well so who knows what kind of legislation is going to get through

Maybe the country isn’t ready for Labor
Obviously the country doesn't think so.swc wrote:If that’s the case extremely disappointing. Labor has an exceptional cabinet. ALP was to embarrassed to even wheel out anyone other than scomo.
