I think Jungels will time trial this and win.

He's increasing that gap.

What a win.

And Alaphillipe played the perfect foil for him!

He almost wobbled off the thing coming over the line

The bunch f**ked around too much but take nothing away from Jungels, he bolted at the right moment and buried them. Awesome rife

Quickstep with 2 monument wins and a crap ton of other classics. 27 wins for the season so far.

Cracking ride by Jungels, he's a serious talent. Definitely took advantage of having the strongest team in the race, but the way he finished it off you have to think he might have been the strongest in the field anyway.

It's just crazy how strong they are. The grand tours are coming and I expect their sprinters Gaviria and Viviani to win tons of stages. Gaviria cleaned up at last year's Giro, and Viviani was winning for fun at the start of 2018.

Actually I think guys like Alaphillippe and Gilbert will also bag some stages there as well.

It was the slowest 'bolt' ever. It was ridiculous how easy he just eased away and no one appreciated the danger.

Looking forward to it.

It will be interesting to see how Froome goes, he's got a serious team with him anyway.

Disappointed Quintana isn't having a go again this year, last years battle with Dumoulin was epic.

He'll need a TUE for that...

Giro organisers reckon the UCI have assured them if Froome wins and gets a guilty finding over the TUE they won't strip him of the title...

errrr. Apparently.

Gee that was close. Tom D sneaks it by 2 seconds over Dennis.

It was today. The organizers didn’t allow the riders onto the course to recon until the morning of. No wonder he posted a pretty average time.

Froome’s crash. Looks like he locked up the front wheel into the corner..?

Oh right, thought I had read yesterday on sticky bottle. Another video I saw he looked to be limping heavily. Looked like some bandaging under his skinsuit too, and yeah fairly average time.

Todays stage in the Tour de Yorkshire is absolutely horrific. Endless 2km 12% climbs

Didn't see any of it today but Froome lost a good bit of time again (17s), I think he is 55s down on Dennis and 54 on Dumoulin.

The Sicilian roads have been a pleasant change from Israel and today's stage looked like a nice ride for most of the last 30km. Lots of drama

Inside the last 15km of the first serious climbing stage up Mt Etna and a break still out at over 1 minute.

Great ride from Esteban Chavez, Simon Yates just behind. Looking like a real contender (Yates).

That was a massive effort from Yates in the last 2km, he was flying when he caught Chavez.

That was very impressive. Michelton Scott looking incredibly strong.

I had picked Pinot for the stage win.

Great ride from Yates & Chaves - will be interesting to see if they can keep it up. It's shaping up to be an interesting race - will Yates, Pinot & the chasing pack put enough time on Dumoulin before the ITT on stage 16?

I wouldn't write off Froome either - he's a better climber than Dumoulin, and a better TT'er than the climbers - but he looks like he needs to ride himself into a bit of form first (or grab a couple of breaths from his inhaler ;) ) - he's got time as well - most of the hard climbing is in the final week - so if he's come in undercooked, hoping to peak for the final stages it may well pay off.

Sam Bennett takes the win today. First Irishman since Stephen Roche in 87 to win a stage at the Giro.

Delighted for Bennett. A win like this has been a long time coming for him, and this Giro really looked like a “if he doesn’t do it this year, he never will” kind of chance for him.

Chaves having a very bad day today; on his own 2m45s down on the peloton. Might have underestimated the tough start today. Or could be sick.

MS teammates are all back with Chaves now. Could be bad news for Yates.

All of them? That’s madness, surely they’d keep at least half the team with the Maglia Rosa?

Edit; sounds like some with Yates, some with Chaves, and poor ol’ man Svein Tuft is in the Grupetto.

Had read Yates only had one with him, I think MS has 3 with Chaves so must be 3 up with Yates.

Edit: just to say I wasn't watching up the live stream just a text feed!

Yates has two with him... word coming in that Chavez probably has a sore throat and struggled a bit with the high pollen count early.

Really difficult day here for MS with the lead bunch working to put time into Chavez and the teams in the second group not really working. Gap now out to over 3 minutes.

Just tuned in. 3 with Chaves , 2 with Yates. QuickStep were chasing with the back group for Viviani, but they’ve sat up now. Gap out to nearly 4 minutes.

Sounds like there’s a chance Bennett is in the front group. He’ll be delighted if there’s a sprint without Viviani.

Yates takes the 3 bonus seconds at the intermediate sprint as if to say “screw you guys, I’m still leading this race.”

Looks like Sam Bennett is in the pink jersey group alright. Good opportunity for him now.
