Tibopino stopped his effort. Definitely not a good day for those Italians.

Rat #1 and rat#2 going for it.

It will be gutting to watch them nip past him in the end for the bonus seconds. Couple of pricks.
And off they go
They attack....each other I suppose.

Lots of support for Froome. Say what you want about him but you have to admire the guts of the man.

ahh... thank you, sir. Of course, I forgot to work out the virtual lead.
They all mugged Dumoulin off at the end. I reckon Froome leads by about 30s with the bonus times.

No sucking in TTs. Grand tours need more of them to weed out shit wagons like those two.

Is it trolling when it's true?

It's a matter of fact that froome broke the rules is it not?

Rather makes you wish that he had to chase in previous Grand Tours instead of defending a lead. That was a ride from the end of the world.

I explained this to you just a week or two ago. There's an agreement to leave the shitflinging out of this thread so we can discuss the racing. If you can't manage that then just stay out of the thread.
So let me get this right.....there is a major doping case going on regarding the premier grand tour rider in the world and it's not allowed be discussed in a thread titled 'UCI Pro Cycling'.......

Seems very 1990s attitude to cycling.

You're not trying to discuss it, you're playing a childish or stupid game of trying to score cheap internet points. Don't be that dumb guy. Be the grown up who can handle something being off topic and not wanted.

you can do this Nardol.

the whole internet is watching.

This is a legendary stage, reminds of very old days when a campionissimo, such as Froome, attacked early in the day and had the cojones to shape the race the way he intended to.

Now why would I do that to myself?

If one was to take a cynical view, it was a bit Landis-esque, though. Hopefully we aren’t reassessing this ride in 6 months time.

Is it me or is Pozzevivo's saddle too low, the guys knees are pointing all over the fecking shop the bandy legged toerag FFS

Also I've never been a Froome fan, but you have to take your hat off too him for that ride today - stupendous

Sad for Yates as he's had a good Giro but today will overshadow everything else. If he' lost 40 minutes on Etna and then won 3 stages it would have been viewed very differently than the way its happened

Who I really feel sorry for out of all this is the Sky train lads down the years like Stannard, Thomas, Porte, Rowe etc who spent every TdF since 2012 parked on the front chasing down breakaways, shelling GC contenders out the back and defending yellow jerseys for weeks at a time. They must be looking at today thinking “you mean all along you could’ve just waited to the last couple of days and put 3 minutes into the best in the world? Why the fcuk were we riding on the front all the way across Normandy and Brittany when we could’ve been chilling in the middle of the bunch and letting Trek or Europcar or Tinkov do all that shit...”

I believe it was the interviewer that made the Landis comment and he just reacted to it. It's a bit shocking that he is actually warming down and doesn't know what has happened during the stage.
