After giving Lethal Weapon a chance and actually liking it, I could have seen myself giving a rebooted Magnum a go if it was exactly the same and the casting was spot on. The casting already looks bad - that scene introducing the buddies looked like a bad student film! - and Magnum was not an action show. It was a silly but charming detective show that was more about characters than plot.

Wasn't shit, just different. Chase was a toxic presence from all accounts. He had to go. Yvette Nicole-Brown's father has Alzheimer's and she didn't want to be committed to the 18 hours days they regularly pulled to shoot the series in order to be able to spend more time with time. She's kept working after she left but she spends a lot less time on set in her recent shows. Donald Glover was ready to move on and hadn't loved being there for a while.
