Krypton, the 100 a bit ya though.

Mars - docu drama by Nat Geo.

Counterpart - recommend

Glitch

Lost in Space

Perhaps Man in a High Castle - alternate reality is sci fi after all.

Westworld

TRavelers - hidden gem - recommend
Krypton: I've pretty much abandoned after 6. May go back.
Counterpart: I watched the 1st so will try again.
Lost in Space: Done. Enjoyed
Westworld done

Will check out Travellers & Glitch! Thanks a stack.

Utopia (UK). More speculative fiction than outright sc-fi but fvcking brilliant.

I haven't been that wowed by Silicon Valley Season 5 yet, the first few episodes felt like retreads of old issues but I did like episode 6 "Artificial Emotional Intelligence". Perhaps it'll get some of its edge back again now it's getting comfortable with losing Erlich, and making more of deadpan Jian Yiang.

Just finished season 1 of Orange is the New Black.

I quite enjoyed it, despite it looking like more of a chick's series. Easy to watch, but they do well to tough on a lot of issues.

Could have done with a lot more boobage.

They're actually quite good. Some interesting themes and ideas explored in the different books. I presume this season will take us to the end of book 2. I haven't watched any of it yet.

I've read the first 5, with two more to go. Took a break to re-read Night Watch, given it's the end of May (...see how they rise up, rise up...), will blitz through the last couple next.
There are a rake of novellas, too. I read one of them, about how Anderson Dawes recruited Fred Johnson to the OPA after Anderson Station. Nothing particularly groundbreaking, TBH. I'll read them eventually, but I'm not arsed buying them, even for 1.50 on Kindle.

First half of this season finished out Caliban's War, as of last week it's moved on to Abbadon's Gate.

I actually meant that.
There wasn't a huge amount of Caliban's War left to cover after the end of series 2.

Anybody watching 'The Crossing'?

I've....ahem....rented the first 3 episodes to get a feel for it, haven't gotten around to watch it yet. It's not my usual genre to watch, but I had so much data left this month that I just rented left right and centre.

Oh, and to my fellow Luciferians: there were two additional episodes aired last night (28th), listed as Episodes 25 and 26. Not part of the original story line, but a bit of extras for the fun of it.

My dodgy friend reliably informed me that these two episodes became available for rent online, from torrent sites (whatever that may be) like ETTV whose proxies are available through proxybunker.online (a site I will definitely never visit as it sounds as dodgy as my friend)

lol likewise, story was OK, casting was poor, natalie and zahn are supporting actors, not good enough to be lead actors..

Have begun Brooklyn Nine-Nine on Netflix. Chortling my way through the first season. Didn't think much at the start but its either grown on me or getting funnier.

I just re-watched the first episode last night (Netflix started it and I kept watching) and I was surprised at how well it holds up, when often sitcom pilots can feel different from the show that follows as the writers get in a groove.

If you do a re-watch of the first few eps when you've done all you might find them funnier as you know all the characters and their traits.

Weird thing about the pilot is that the actress playing Rosa uses her own high pitched voice and is wearing lots of makeup - doesn't seem right.

The Expanse if you haven't already seen it.

I also definitely recommend 'Dark', it's in German but it's a really interesting concept and series.

Has anyone been watching Harlan Coben's 'Safe'? I am just a few episodes in and enjoying it thus far. I loved his books as a teenager and he evidently has talents beyond writing novels as this is an original screenplay, not an adaptation from one of his books. It's on Netflix UK and Australia (probably NZ too). Heartily recommend.

Started watching Altered Carbon. Jesus H. Christ - do people actually get paid to make that sort of stuff  zapped after 30 minutes. Just ain't my thing.

Currently enjoying Master of None season 2. I think it's really underrated, Ansari is very, very funny.

Big fan of Brooklyn Nine-Nine although they seem to go into filler mode for three or four episodes and then have an absolute killer of an episode.

The Dentist interrogation episode in the most recent series is an absolute gem, with only having 3 characters in the majority of the episode.

Chewing gum for the eyeballs. It looked great but I did cringe most of the way through the second half of the season. Ortega definitely made up for some of that cringing!

That was brilliant.
I like the way they'll throw in a scene (usually before the credits) completely unrelated to the episode plot. The Backstreet Boys lineup was excellent.

I dont think the standard drops over the 5 seasons. Great chortles.

Oh bugger, only saw it highlighted today and thought it must be starting. It hasn't been on Now TV on demand either this time. Can't believe this series doesn't get more attention.

Maybe it'll go on ITV Encore...

It's good, but not great.

Not a patch on the book and kind of soul-less which is odd considering the topic.
