The new season of Archer has just begun, sadly it's the final season, but this one is Archer 1999, Archer in Space and is damn funny stuff.

Good omens obviously spent the budget on Tennant and Sheen's salaries, not the CGI budget but that was a good call.
Worth watching.

Discovered Curiosity stream $3 a month or $20 a year, documentaries etc. Haven't had a good look yet but I can get it on my Sony telly, plus there's Roku and apps.

Thought it became a bit of a parody of itself by season 4, sadly. Soapier than a Babs Windsor bath-time tit wank.
Wait... I didn't think it had aired on English-speaking TV yet? So, assuming, er, your friend is watching a less-than-legit copy... has it got homemade subtitles, or are you chaps just fluent in Italian?
I'm about 4 episodes into S3 myself
Season 4 of Gomorrah is available with English Language subtitles if you have the Internet. I've finished it now - loved it.

I watched "When They See Us" the other day. A 4-part mini-series on the rape case of the Central Park 5.
It's grim, but superbly made.

Part two seasons have been utter dogshite, they badly need to wrap it up.
Just a shame they're doing another "themed" coma season.

Don't they paint the boys out to be saints though? They were gang members and particularly nasty ones too.
The documentary 'The central park 5' is decent, although also falls foul of the same criticism in parts..

I watched all ten episodes of What We Do In the Shadows, the vampire mockumentary TV show based on the vampire mockumentary film. It's very funny, in a really pleasant enjoy the journey and be shocked by a few roaring laughing out loud moments.
I doubt it'll ever get huge appeal in the US, where it's made, but it has enough of Spinal Tap/Best In Show/A Might Wind stuff going on that there'll be a dedicated hardcore following that it appeals to purely because of how different it is.

That was a brilliant scene, when all the vampires appear. "It's him! IT'S HER!!" And then they all do the dramatic vampire hiss and I wish that was a real way of communicating displeasure in real life.

I will watch anything with Matt Berry in it - (Toast of London a particular favorite)
Watched the first episode and have a few giggles. Have been told by a number of folk that it only gets better as it goes on.

Yeah, couldn’t get past the first couple of episodes of Danger Island. Guess they’ve just completely run out of ideas with the original characters.
Stranger Things 3 is out on 4th July though

The Noir series was dreadful, a mediocre stories with absolutely no funny jokes in it.
Danger Island I have up half way too.
I just remember thinking multiple times while watching "if you want to make a new TV series, just make a new one!".
Archer has gone well past its sell by date.

Finally saw the Deadwood movie. Very strange viewing experience, there’s only so many times you can say “geez he/she looks farking old” before it starts to distract from the narrative. Condensing what is clearly a season’s worth of material into a feature length film is also frustrating, I get that Milch was keen to wrap everything up but it felt like whiplash at times.
Still, McShane is awesome. Get to watching it cocksuckers

Already renewed. The ratings have been very good for a half hour adult cable comedy.
The movie itself has a pretty large cult following in the U.S.

Is the series just a continuation of the film (which I was a bit 50:50 on - some genuinely lol moments, but a bit too silly/contrived in a lot of places), or does it just build on the concept?

television remake but with different characters, basically the "American chapter" of the vampires (Taika's was the Wellington Chapter)..i.e they can do one British version too if they chose with British actors in UK..the irony is that the 3 leads are british...

Just finished True Detective S3.
Great ending, very moving. A bit slow in the middle of the series, but Mahershala Ali's acting was phenomenal throughout.

It's glacial alright. I was steadily getting thru it then my cable box f**ked itself when I was halfway thru and I lost all the remaining episodes.
I've since got them all back but I simply haven't found the motivation to restart it yet. Even when I've got nothing else to watch.
I will get to it the rest eventually I expect. Hopefully. As long as it's superior to that shitpile that was S2 (didn't finish that. Gave up 3rd episode) there's a reason.
