Rick and Morty episode 1 was great!

The focus group episode had some good moments in it, but the one where they went to the zoo was painfully unfunny. A farcry from how good it was around seasons 6-10

I thought last season had some of their best. (Jimmy Buffet one is my favourite ever probably) but also a fair few clunkers.

Focus Group one was good, first episode had some moments and the choking one was decent/ok.

Defending the Guilty
UK six episode comedy series
Katherine Parkinson from IT Crowd is in it
She's on top form and there are some good supporting actors
Found it very funny

Agreed although the early seasons when Danny DeVito were in it are some of the best comedy moments ever for me, great TV. I’m liking how psychotic Dennis is becoming season on season, but apart from that it’s falling off a little I feel

Found that South Park seasons 1-21 are available on Prime. Been picking out some of the best episodes again and rewatching. Some of them from the middle seasons are absolute gold.
Using their IMDb ratings as a guide, can't remember which episodes were in which seasons.

Watchmen is really good. Typical Lindelof weirdness. Reminiscent of The Leftovers in parts.

I kinda what I hoped Disney would do with the movies outside the trilogies. Have some balls to do something a bit further away from the established canon.

I'd love to see some Old Republic stuff...

Jack Ryan is really good. Blitzed through the first season this weekend.
Some of the stuff is pretty heavy hitting when taken in a contemporary context. Major terrorist attacks in Paris, Syrian civil war, people trafficking refugees to Europe in shitty RIBs.

I like how they brought in the main plot point of Rainbow 6 and tied it into the Ebola outbreak of a few years ago.
Otherwise, the only links to the original books are the names of characters. The major plot points are current, rather than Cold War/90s like the books.

I went through the comics of this ages ago and when Guardians of the Galaxy came out, thought they ripped it off, but then learned the latter is an older series. I don’t think they could go there without critics having a go at comparing the two.

... white human protagonist, hot badass chick with brightly coloured skin, powerful warrior who doesn’t say much, wise cracking smaller creature, big thing that isn’t humanoid (Groot/Elbee)

I'm 2 in. It's oustayed it's welcome a bit but does need to now conclude. Sam Esmail is destined for great things, he's a superb Director.

Just watched S4E07, one of the finest hour's of TV I've seen, Rami deserves another Emmy the acting and direction are outstanding.

Succession is very good but it’s just a dramatic Arrested Development, isn’t it? I mean, even the characters are practically the same.

Didn't even know they did comics of it! I wouldn't even mind if they didn't draw from the games. That timeline isn't even canon now anyway. But there is so much room to play with by going way back in the timeline, and you don't have to worry about tying things into the canon.

The 3rd series of The Crown is excellent so far and you’ll forget about the changes in the cast by the end of the first episode (Helena Bonham-Carter is brilliant as Princess Margaret, in particular)

The episode about Aberfan is heartbreaking :((

Watchmen episode 5 was a faultless hour of TV and really entertaining. Tim Blake Nelson is a cracking actor. Series has really hit it's straps.

Waiting for it to finish before watching it, but I saw the ending of the episode, very well done.

I wonder if Dr. Manhattan will actually feature or if he's just totally gone.

I finally get the appeal of the American Office, it's fairly and easy to binge.
Though you can tell it's really reaching the end of the road come season 7.

Like I said earlier in the thread, they've been dropping big foreshadowing bombs regarding him, so my bet is very much yes.

It might just be a big "he's really gone guys" bait and switch.

Not sure about the Times review of it
Said it took too long to get going and introduce the visitors
It really didn't

Been watching The Wire. It's good, if a bit of a slow burn. Season 3 and 4 were great. But what's up with Season 5? The tone seems off and the serial killer thing is just weird. Also McNulty really is an asshole.
