Must admit Smurf I don't watch a lot, tried the Watchmen series and just couldn't get into it. I really struggle to get interested in much the last few months, I just maybe need to turn off everything except sports channels?TheSmurf wrote:My top shows were

7. Witcher... Loved the game, books were passable. Not bothered too much by adaption/changes too much, but the writing, acting in parts, timeline stuff.... Frustrated.
Yeah nah
Watchmen. Imo, just meh/shite.
Wow, I'm not a big TV watcher at all, didn't realize I watched 8 series

Well worth a watch.
You’ll come away from it feeling like you’ve rolled in something.

So much so it ruined anything positive they did with the series.
Hahahaha, wait, hahahaha, wait, hahahaha.
Watchmen may be the most polarising show out there, half the people i know/read love it while the other half complain about it. I guess I'm going to have to watch it (the first episode at least) to decide for myself.
Agree, I watch a lot of TV and this was by far the best I’ve seen in years.Floppykid wrote:TV series of the decade for me what probably True Detective Season 1 (and Season 1 only).
Never felt as tuned in and freaked out as I did watching that series.

They'll probably not be anything like it, one of those shows you wish you could forget everything about to rewatch.
Fargo season 1 was brilliant too, GOT was brilliant until the marked drop in S7/8.
Last episode to go. Okay watch.Salient wrote:Concur, there are some truly sick people in this world and they are not all Crusader supporters.Ewinkum wrote:‘Don’t fûck with cats’

Season 2 of Fargo was top notch too

Fast becoming one of my all time favourite shows. What a horrible bunch of plum the Roy family are.
Really unusual to find a show where there are no likeable characters, to be so engrossing.
Never could get into season 2 of Fargo due to one of the plotlines really bumming me out personally.boere wors wrote:True detective 1 is the GOAT of mini series.Ewinkum wrote:I agree with all of this.Floppykid wrote:TV series of the decade for me what probably True Detective Season 1 (and Season 1 only).

Fargo 1 is outstanding, but it is actually one of the few shows that could maintain their level in the following seasons. Even Season 3 was great, looking forward to season 4 in 2020, supposed to play in Kansas city in the mid 1950s.
You left out Succession - probably the best box set of the year. Also 6/10 for Chernobyl and 7/10 for the jumper the shark handmaids tale get a grip. Handmaids tale should have ended after season one. Still visually great but the plot has gone to shiteKid A wrote:Best series' of 2019:

Indeed. I reckon Chernobyl is one of the best bits of TV ever created. I'd be genuinly interested to see what makes it only just above average for Kid A.Duff Paddy wrote:You left out Succession - probably the best box set of the year. I've said it before - it's technically great but they succumbed to America's stupidness and cast a bunch of British people meandering in and out of their own regional accents and into Russian ones. I couldn't get past that. They should have cast Ukranians and Russians and subtitled it. But then stupid people wouldn't have watched it.Jeff the Bear wrote: I'd be genuinly interested to see what makes it only just above average for Kid A.

I'm on S2 E2 and have to agree with you. S1 was ok, so far S2 is just too 'happy perfect family'. I'm hoping for a disaster soon.True Blue wrote:I've been trying to watch Lost in Space S2 and I've had a hard time doing it. That's probably why.

I didn't hate the first season, but that does sum up the family pretty well.True Blue wrote:I've been trying to watch Lost in Space S2 and I've had a hard time doing it. I haven't made it through the first episode of S2 yet. Even 10 minute chunks are hard to digest.
