The Monty Python fan in me chuckled to see Josh Rosen being interviewed on NFL.com with a Cardinals cap that says "Red Sea" in huger letters across the front.

Here we go with Jackson to Pats.

Michel is an In interesting pick. He can catch it out of the backfield. But I would have gone LJ fo sho.

3 picks for the Colts in Round 2. They have a chance to really load up this draft and Nelson was a good start. Andrew Luck just needs to get his shoulder fixed.

Michel was pegged for that range. I prefer Guice but they need a good RB.

He's not on Watson's level imo. His passing can be downright abysmal at times.

But he is an incredible runner. Create a custom offense for him and go. But don't expect him to ever wow you with accuracy as it's just not there.

It's a great landing spot for Jackson I reckon.

So if we assume Patriots have to draft a QB sometime. Who are they taking with #43 or #63? Mason Rudolph?

Maybe they could convert him to safety then, because he's no starting QB.

Dolphins pick 1 before NE at #42. They might steal Mason Rudolph out from under the dark lord's nose (which of course Belicheck will anticipate if that's his plan and trade up accordingly). Round 2 is going to be as wild as round 1 was. Browns and Colts could make some hay trading one of their early picks away.

The homoeroticism of the professional draft analysts is hilarious. Someone better shower down Mike Mayock on NFL.com. Here are a few of the choice comments from his day 1 analysis of the picks, EL James couldn't have done better:
His lower body is unbelievable.Talk about a powerful man. Violent hands...can make tape room sessions uncomfortable. He is a flat-backed pile driver. Heavy hands. When he gets his hands locked on you and anchored down, it's over...he's curious...he can match slots and tight ends. I love his motor and body type. You expect bigger safeties to have hip tightness. He can open his hips and drive to a deep half or deep third, cover tight ends man to man, and when he gets there, he's arrives in a bad humor. Played him a lot in the box, I think the key here is he can match tight ends. Special get-off. I watched four tapes; three of them were outstanding, one of them was not.

Adopting the Ravens would be the honourable approach. When you have the option of selecting a team to support, you should never select a team that is supported by your friends or family - otherwise how can you revel in their losses? Where possible, you should pick that team's arch-rival. Unless that team's arch-rival is the Steelers, in which case you should pick any other team available. Or none at all. Just don't pick the Steelers.

The Browns aside, I don't think there were many shocking picks this draft.

Everyone seemed to play it relatively safe. There is not one player there I see that could be labelled a bolter and a real shock first round pick. All a bit vanilla.

Edit: Actually, Rashaad Penny going to the Seahawks. That was a surprise.

Giants have to take Hernandez at 34 if he is available.

Bowens, so sorry bro! It just seems like a shock. They Should have taken Barkley and Chubb or Barkley and then a QB but Mayfield doesn't scream #1 and then a shutdown Corner? They don't have the years in the league a top level DL lineman can have.

People are reaching too far to bash them for what they've done. Calling Mayfield a massive project is ridiculous considering Josh Allen was in play for #1 and nobody seemed to have any issue with that.

They thought Mayfield would be gone by the the time they picked at 4 so they grabbed him. They also thought Ward would be gone if they traded down so they took him. There is no guarantee any of these guys shake out so it's too early to call them out for f**king this one up.

Cleveland pick twice again very early tonight. Those picks are just as important as what they did yesterday. If they grab two nice player sthen they'll have added 4 starters and improved the team dramatically.

I think Mayfield will be ok but Cleveland is not the best place for him to play.
