He's playing today - the poor guy.

Colts were only 3.5 point favourites for this one...

EDIT: And my guy, Seth Roberts, gets his first home TD in 2 years! WE BACK!

What do you think we have a defense for?

edit: Did Bruce Irvin actually play?
He didn't register a single stat - and gets paid $9M

Fitz-magic back in Tampa. Wonder if that changes Deshaun Jackson's trade request. Deadline this Tuesday should be interesting for a few teams.

Interesting for your Rams - they just got Dante Fowler!

Talk about going all in! Damn.

I can't make sense of that, given Watson plays for the Texans??? Did you mean that shithead Jameis Winston?? Hope he gets traded to the Arena League.

Fowler fills a big need for the Rams.

I think he's going to produce, given the talent surrounding him.

The Raiders tried to move Irvin - but no takers... cuz he's garbage.

He won't be on the roster next season.

DRC was so fed-up with this bullshit season that he retired today!

He didn't do all that much with an all star cast next to him in Jax either. It's a lot to pay for an underperforming guy as a rental for half a season. But nothing if he gets a sack in the SB I suppose.

I don't rate the guy. Too much shit going on off the field with him too.

Turns out he did this out of spite!
Montgomery gets shipped out after the fumble in which he appeared to defy a directive from coach Mike McCarthy to down the ball in the end zone on a kickoff with two minutes remaining. Instead, Montgomery brought the ball out and proceeded to fumble, which wiped out any chance for a comeback.

After the game, several Packers players told NFL.com's Michael Silver that Montgomery was seen throwing a tantrum on the sideline after being taken out of the game on a preceeding possession. The theory being that Montgomery disobeyed the coaching command out of spite.

"They took him out (the previous drive) for a play and he slammed his helmet and threw a fit," the unnamed player told Silver. "Then (before the kickoff) they told him to take a knee, and he ran it out anyway. You know what that was? That was him saying, 'I'm gonna do me.' It's a f------ joke."

The suspicion now must be that he threw the game on purpose. Green Bay didn't waste any time in dumping him. I doubt they do that if they think it was just a brain fart.

It's a third round compensatory pick and a fifth. If he proves to be a rental then we will get a 4th round compensatory pick back, so the net cost is fairly low & the Rams were not the only bidder for him.

In return we upgrade our edge rush (and however underwhelming Fowler has been for a 3rd overall pick he's clearly better than all our current edge rushers). Given we are all-in for a superbowl run this year, it seems a pretty reasonable price to pay to address one of our relative weaker areas. The upside is pretty good too. If Fowler performs with more snaps then we should be able to resign him given our cap space and then it will be a cheap price.

It's a good return for the Jags, so I think both parties should be happy right now.

FWIW. supposedly Broncos edge Shane Ray was an alternative available edge and his former coach Wade Phillips preferred Fowler.

No I meant Tampa WR Desean (Jackson) not Deshaun. He'd put in a transfer request because Winston's play didn't match his style supposedly. Fitzmagic's bombs do, so he should be a happy Buccaneer again.

Deshaun Jackson is a WR at the Buccs.
And he still is.

They're calling it the "Bosa Bowl" on Thursday night in the last ever "Battle of the Bay".

There are three teams with one win: Raiders, 49ers and Giants.
49'ers play both of the other teams this season.

Ultimate loser gets #1 pick next draft (although the Giants will almost certainly be going after a QB).
So that's the Raiders and 49ers basically playing this week for the right to draft Joey Bosa's younger brother

And SF are getting serious about this - Berthard is struggling with injury and they could be starting their 3rd string QB.
Mind you, against the Raider Defence that might only be 280 yards and 3 TDs...

Actually, errors all round as explained above.

I was thinking Deshaun Watson. Don't know why I read Watson when it clearly says Jackson.

Village meant Desean Jackson. In fairness, his error was smaller/fewer/lesser (pedantic c*nts) than mine.

As you were. Go Niners. :((

Trivia stat for you Marshall B...

After 7 weeks of his rookie season, Maurice Hurst's 82.4 overall grade (on PFF) ranks him tied for 6th among all Defensive Linemen (150 snaps minimum) at that stage of their rookie season.

Who's he tied with?
Spoiler: show
Khalil Mack

Poor Derek Carr is getting out played by SF's 3rd string QB. And Carr is usually at his best early in games.

Last Bay Area Series game or whatever they call it with these teams playing every 4 years and the Raiders planning to move to Vegas.

Not much of a game in the 1st half.

This capitulation by the Raiders is almost more disgraceful if it's not a deliberate attempt to tank for the 1st overall. A couple of career practice squad bodies in Mullins and Mostert are carving them up in the air and on the ground.

49ers are snakebitten on injury. Raheem Mostert comes in off the practice squad, runs 12 yards per carry and then promptly breaks arm and is out for the season.

Pretty obvious they are building toward Vegas. They will be one of the most valuable teams and able to sign pretty much whoever they want. A Rams type turnaround after the move wouldn’t surprise me.

Yeah, great to get the win, and Mullen looked decent doing it. But another season ending injury . . .

Wonder if Hayne wants to be a running back for our last 7 games. We've got nobody better now.
