Ravens with a Lamar Jackson on fire are big favourites surely?

Ravens vs Chiefs final... can that happen?

AFC championship final, but one or the other for the Super Bowl.

AFC Playoff fixtures (higher seeded team have home advantage):

(6) Tennessee Titans @ New England Patriots (3)
(5) Buffalo Bills @ Houston Texans (4)

then

lower ranked winner (probably Houston) @ Baltimore Ravens (1)
higher ranked winner (probably New England) @ Kansas City (2)

New England are used to having a bye in the first round of playoffs.
Not going straight back into action, with an injury hit team that is only 4-4 over the second half of the season.
And not great against the run, now facing the NFL leading rusher.
But still, Ryan Tannehill doesn't scare Bill Belicheik...

NFC Playoff fixtures (higher seeded team have home advantage):

(6) Minnesota Vikings @ New Orleans Saints (3)
(5) Seattle Seahawks @ Philadelpia Eagles (4)

Eagles, as division winners, are seeded above the Vikings and the Seahawks despite winning fewer games.
They are extremely vulnerable. Saints are the best team playing this weekend.
then

lower ranked winner (Seattle?) @ San Francisco 49ers (1)
higher ranked winner (Saints) @ Green Bay Packers (2)

Best two teams, right now, are Baltimore and San Francisco.
KC and NO are probably their biggest threats.

Although I still won't discount the Patriots until they've been buried at a crossroads with a stake through their heart.

Former Bengals and Bucs coach Sam Wyche has died.

Once did this great speech mid-game to the crowd. https://youtu.be/yJMa20xXykI

I like the Bills over the Texans. Good football team.

Still taking the Pats over the Titans but stranger things have happened.

Seahawks to win, Vikings-Saints a tossup.

Could see Seattle winning in SF, giving the Packers two home games to make the SB. If the Vikings pull it out though, I'd back SF. As for the AFC, the Chiefs aren't good enough, the Pats are past it (at least without picking up more offensive weapons), and the Bills aren't ready. The Ravens have the inside lane with their great defense and against-the-grain offense. This is their chance though as the other teams have yet to adjust. If they falter this year, don't expect them to be champions anytime soon.

So with all that said, Green Bay-Baltimore Super Bowl I think.

Disappointing from Buffalo. Committed the classic not-used-to-playoffs mistake of taking their foot off the gas when they got a decent lead.

Not one to complain about commentators usually but this ESPN team is aural AIDS.

Fück me what a finish

Two blitzers attempt to sack Watson and basically he bounces off both, scambles to the outside, fires a pass and the receiver takes it down to about the 10.
FG wins in OT.

And I thought Watson's game winning TD against the Raiders as he wriggled out of the grasp of a defender, took a boot to the face (eye actually) and still hit his man as he was falling was the most astonishing play of the season. It wasn't - not by a long shot.

Mitchell Trubisky being drafted ahead of Mahomes and Watson in 2017 is one for the ages

Watson in incredible.

The big catch by Hopkins when they were well down was huge in context of the game.

That game was lost by the Bills more than it was won by the Texans. Whoever said O'Brien needs to go is spot on. There are some good coaches out there who are available and could take this team to the next level. Namely McCarthy.

Old school football from the Titans. Going on 35 rushing attempts for Henry. I am aroused.
