Pipe down ... no one thinks that ... he is a fabulous ruck exponent and a nuclear tipped weapon in the line-out, if used appropriately.

So relax, he has amazed with his capability and we are proud he is Irish ... capiche ?

Anywho, regale us ... how amazing is Munster again ... ? ;)

I'll take this, well this season we're the top Irish team.

Pfft, my Nephew is 5, both his parents are over 6 foot so he'll be locking for the Lions in 16 years.

Samoa were fúcking woeful.

Obviously New Zealand are amazing, but people seem to ignoring the fact that Samoa had the worst defence anyone's used in years. No defensive line, players in doglegs, deep and reactive. Most teams would have put 40 or 50 on them without much hassle.

Samoa have really regressed under their current management. They were the most disappointing team in the RWC, Japan dealt with them easily

http://www.espn.co.uk/rugby/story/_/id/ ... duo-follow

The British & Irish Lions have confirmed Wales quartet Kristian Dacey, Cory Hill, Tomas Francis and Gareth Davies will link up with the squad with two further players from Scotland to follow.
The quartet are expected to be joined by Scotland fly-half Finn Russell and prop Allan Dell who are both playing against Australia on Saturday in Sydney.
The group will be added to the matchday party for their midweek games against the Chiefs and Hurricanes as Warren Gatland looks to protect the Test squad for their three-match series against the All Blacks.

not seen it mentioned here...

Who are Kristian Dacey and Cory Hill? If I was Gregor Townsend I would be pissed. Johnny Gray and Hamish Watson are far more deserving of a Lions call up than who and who

That is total bull and hugely devalues the lions jersey.

Tom Court will be delighted to give up the luckiest/shittiest lion ever award though

Bullshit by Gatland, and I can't imagine a lot of the players in the squad will be too happy with it.
The coaching role needs to be given to someone who actually knows what the Lions stand for.

It's like calling up four Tom Courts in one go.

On a positive note, how good are Irish props these days? McGrath/Furlong in NZ, Healy/Ryan starting against Japan and Kilcoyne/Bealham coming off the bench. It's not even ten years since journalists (Well Hook) were talking about emergency drafting in of Roly Meates

the argument for wanting to rest 23 on tuesday is ridiculous. there should be a number of players doubling up next week, thats what lions tours are about

there's still plenty of lads playing Tuesday who'd have thought they could force their way into one of the tests. their chances have taken a big hit

It's a sad day for rugby in my opinion. You'd imagine that this won't exactly do wonders for squad morale either

Anyone want to make a stab at where Dacey falls in a depth chart of B&I hookers?

It's not giving him shit to say he's in the conversation for worst Lion of the pro era.

It's just true.

Already have on Twitter.
I hope the other coaches can come out after the tour and say they were against these call ups, Howley probably won't though.

To be honest I've lost my appetite for the Lions over the last few tours. I'm starting to view it as an over-commercialised and needless distraction that contributes to player burn-out. I'm coming to the conclusion that tours are simply not feasible in the professional era due to the time constraints and physical/psychological burdens now placed on players.

The domestic game needs to wise the fück up, the Lions is the pinnacle of a players career, the season goes on far too long.

Get rid of playoffs.

Agreed. What I like about the NFL is that there are so few games played that every single game becomes incredibly important. Rugby seems to be going the other way.

The NFL works because there's an in built understanding that all teams are equal when it comes to the administration of the sport.

And with the way they set it up to mitigate against teams staying on top forever, they are actually quite socialist in their outlook.

Ireland should be up to 3rd in the rankings come Monday after the Scots win. Second could be within grasp if the Pigdogs lose to the Argies.

Tom Court was called up in an emergency.
This has been planned.

Arguably should be there ahead of Laidlaw.
