Passing mightn't be as accurate as Stewart, both are good scrumhalfs though.

The Irish hooker will be a good player. Better darts than the usual hookers that play at this level.

What happened Aaron Hall, did he get injured or subbed very early?

Definite knock on.

It's a shame because we deserved at least a bonus point out of this.

Only caught bits of it.
I liked the look of Dalton. Bit of dog about him and looked to put their jumpers under a bit of pressure.

Bit harsh in the end not to get a bonus. At least we had some positives.

Some players stocks were raised by this game, Stewart, Hall, Aungier, and O'Sullivan the 8, others not so much, Dalton, O'Brien, and the Back Three.

The only times I noticed Dalton were when he was being driven back in the tackle.

No different from any other Ulster forward this season...

I must have only caught the 5 or 10 minutes when he wasn't playing like a spacker then!

Considering it looked like it was going to be a hiding in the first half, it turned out to be a reasonable showing.

The 8 (O'Sullivan?) was the best of the forwards. I thought Aungier at TH was decent and Masterson was good off the bench. Halfbacks were a bit mixed but good overall. Back three were really poor though.

Unlucky not to get something considering the noticeable physical disparity between the forwards - that'll narrow over the next 2-3 years but it's always really stark at U19/U20.

Why get so worked up about the commentary? as long as I can watch the game they could talking in Klingon for all I care.

Joe Molloy autocue intro was poor, he could do with a shave or a proper beard,

but once we get over the weird starey lack of movement he sounds alright.

I'd hope to see Kernohan and Keane on the bench there ahead of McCarthy next time out.

Ach he grew up there and he wasn't much use in the scrum anyway. Trevor, there's a better case. Anyway one of these days Bamford'll show up to one of his games and he'll be sorted out. ;)

Stewart threw a few head scuds early on but settled well enough, Dalton was very secure in the lineout, he's no relation to a 6 though.

No indeed. I thought he looked lost at times. Fighting away in the middle of the maul seemed to suit him more. Theres enough to be hopeful about in the pack i think.

I'm usually pretty good at not taking anything I read on here seriously but Flametop f**ked me there with that Conway going back to Leinster comment. That would have been extremely shit news.

I can see why they tried him at 6 when facing a big pack. But he's just another guy who might be an ok 6 or a good second row. Just keep him in the row and be done with it.

Don't mention Niall Scannell to move to D4 with Sean Cronin going the other way. That's just not happening.

Scannell and Casey leaving at the same time would be tough, but we'd still have Marshall, Sherry, O'Byrne and then Cronin to pick from. I'm surprised that none of the other provinces have moved for O'Byrne actually - he's looked a handy player whenever I've watched him and should really be playing more.

He was with Connacht and didn't get a full contract, went back to Cork to play AIL and we had a hooker crisis, right place and right time for him, really sound fella as well.

I didn't realise he'd been at Connacht. Any time we've called on him (Racing away last year and Leicester away this year spring to mind) he's been excellent and his darts might just be the best in the squad.

He does not, that’s called the ‘8 year old running in a hotel hall’ technique, possibly the fastest thing in the history of the world.
