i dont think Ringrose needs a ball playing 12 at all. i think he's the one who brings that extra pair of hands in midfield no matter what number is on his back. class act

some people giving up on henshaw very quickly. rubbish. he made a couple of errors but he's a warrior and will always be fixture in Joe's squad. either him or Aki with ringrose who is the clear #1

would be great to get a 15 who can come in at 1st receiver off 2nd/3rd phase but with Payne gone there's no real other option to Rob who was back to solid today

Ring rose is quickly becoming the best 13 in world rugby.

Jiffy Jnr is getting on in years and the All blacjs have Crotty, who IMO, isn't a level above him.farrell at 12 with him would be promising.

Agreed he works well with Aki and Henshaw. Would be nice to see Carberry at 15 but that won't happen now.

There are at least 5 players in that starting 15 today who would start for the ABs. The depth isn’t the same but the first choice side is one of the best we have ever had.

He was very good but lets not get ahead of ourselves here. He isn't at Crotty's level just yet

He reminds me of Crotty that's a good comparison. Good all rounder and great reader of the game

You have a point but didn't you write him off and christen him Triple T a couple of years ago?

dunno about that. i dont think there is any 13 currently who stands out above the rest a la BOD/Conrad

Ringrose would be a contender imo

I thought he was really brilliant today. Apart from all the obvious lineout/maul/restart stuff, he murdered Pocock at ruck time a good few times.

Someone else mentioned it earlier but his weight really showed today...

Kearney was very very good today too. Funny when he has an iffy game everyone is on his case but when he plays well its radio silence.

He was actually really strong in contact...bumped a good few lads off and smashed Coleman. Don't remember him doing a whole lot wrong.

With Ringrose's passing ability should we try him at 12 and Henshaw at 13?

He was good yeah but I still think we need to look at someone else at 15 ahead of next year

Not going to happen now with injuries though

nobody has Ringrose's ability to make an outside break and we look much more organised when he's defending the 13 channel

he was solid. did all his basics well

we dont have a proven alternative at doing those things at the highest level unfortunately

Our defence was good today with Garry at 13. Our defence was shite last week with Henshaw at 13. Keep them at 12 and 13 imo.

On this trajectory it seems likely that they won't, but then you never know they've the quality there in reserves to always be able to turn things on a dime.

Just rewatching now. 40 mins gone and I can't see what Henshaw has done wrong in attack. He's put Larmour "away" with a lovely long pass. He's mostly being used as decoy or to truck up shit ball close to the ruck. Had one good run which ended in a dodgy turnover for Pocock. So far it's mostly been Ringrose taking the ball from Sexton.

Biggest mistakes so far
Earls interception
Murray kick out on the full
Ringrose knockon
Ringrose bad pass to Larmour which he rescued
