He'll fit in well with the lad running these. A pair of arrogant cocks. Ben Foden too - oh what a shower.

Not with Larmour and Conway in the side.

No, you're wrong. It's still a terrible call.
Any back three replacement is either going to involve Henshaw at FB ( :uhoh: ) or Ringrose shifting to wing with Henshaw in the centre. It's a crap use of resources.

Henshaw at 15 is less of a liability than Addison in the centre.

Don't buy that at all.

I'm sure we are all very proud of our low card count, but where are the fighting Irish?
All in D4 schools????

Look at South Africa's World Cup winning pack. Etzebeth, du Toit, Mostert and De Jager would have been regarded as the epitome of privileged white boy, gym-bunny, highlights-reel show-ponies before Erasmus took over. Look at how we dominated and humiliated them in 2017. Now they're world champions.

Coaching, along with maturity and confidence, can make a big difference.

his lack of creativity, support play, offloading etc has been tolerated while he was our key ball carrier, making good yards.

that ball carrying effectiveness and evasiveness (if he had any) has disappeared and he needs to find a new lease of life now at 6 ...... before Irelands better options on the flanks (Beirne, Leavy, Conan etc) get back from injury

Can you point to any Irish forwards that pass more than him?

He's regulary at the top of the forwards passing stats.

while it may garner some plaudits in munster, running straight into the oppo, getting hit backwards and then 'offloading' the ball to the nearest team mate while facing your own try line, is not the kind of incisive play I'm looking for from an Ireland 8

while you've cleverly unveiled the Munster game book, you might have noticed that its also been the Schmidt's game book for Ireland for at least the last 2 years ; agreed that Stander needs to modify his game but he'd probably have been dropped from Ireland - Stander was given his one fancy play for 2018 vs England with 100% success so met his St Joe KPI's

With more aggression, great players like Conor Murray might be in an environment where they'd react like a Munster man should.
&^% that, here I come
It's what Jones has the English doing.

Yep missing the games from the 90s where we had a good fight but got thrashed. Missing Leavy but then again he is from a D4 school!!

I never said I was perfect!
Agree, we need less Henderson and more Leavy.
Away to England and France, get in their faces and don't step back.
They'll yellow card themselves.

It's inane as talking about "desire."

Anybody who's playing rugby at a pro level has to have insane levels of motivation and dedication.

Can you imagine the size he will be over there? He'd want to be careful throwing gang signs or someone will bust a cap in his ass.

Zebo always brings out the best in people doesn't he?

If he took rugby more seriously and got fit, he would've been a capable international.
Certainly covers the back three well enough,

He was a perfectly good international, but could have been better/wasn't as good as some thought.

I hope Farrell doesn't do the Schmidt trick of leaving Murray on even with the game well won, or, god forbid, well lost.

Feeeling positive about the weekend. We need to beat the Scots the same way we've done 6 of the last season outings. Keep the New Movez™ underwraps for Pivacs Wales who won't give up much vs Italy.

Lucky players:

Murray - Not been great at international level for a year or so now and Cooney behind him is in the form of his life and winning plaudits across Europe.
POM - To say he's been bang average for Ireland through 2019 would be an understatement, he's been a complete passenger and isn't showing form at provincial level either.
Herring - He's in decent form and is the most experienced of the three hookers in the squad and looks to have been picked by default, won't hold it against him but he is a place holder for Kelleher (and hopefully McBurney if he stops being a dick).
Henshaw - Of the three 12s in the squad he is in the worst form and he's actually covering back three here as well, despite looking glacially slow of late.

Unlucky Players:

Kilcoyne - undoubtedly in great form but Healy is established class and has been going well, Jack McGrath is in a similar boat but I don't we've ever had 3 players at this level before so one has to miss out entirely.
Deegan - He covers across the backrow, is young, has a high workrate and has been playing well, as a bench option you would think he has more impact and versatility than POM, he's definitely in better form.
McCloskey - The form 12 in Ireland, the best 12 in the Pro14 last year and is again this year. Coaches don't fancy him though and I imagine his inclusion was a sop following the disbelief that he wasn't included initially.
Addison - Farrell suggesting he's got yet another niggle, guy is made of chocolate.
