Forgetting that a f**king TV programme is not a novel and you can't have an internal monologue saying "In my heart I screamed yes" or some such.

Well unless we see something in next episode to make us think she gave in or something, as I said in the other thread he would be back to shoving Bran out the tower and this time people won't sympathise for him and let him grow on them.

Other thing slightly related is I wonder if they will reveal it was Joffrey who actually tried to have Bran murdered after the fall?

She did kinda give in, she had her hand on his face kissing him back??
Director keen to show that 'no' really means 'yes'?

And what happens to Jon?
He will be dead. Stannis will be the next Lord Commander of the Nights Watch. He will take a pardon in order to have that job.

Aegon and Dany won't marry because they can't have heirs. She's barren.
Stannis won't take a pardon for any job. He sees himself as the rightful king of Westeros, and it would be an affront to his obsession with the law to allow anyone except him be king. By the end of book 7 he will either be on the Iron Throne, or he will be dead.

A good shout for Nightswatch commander would be Jaime. His redemption arc suggests someone who wants to fix the wrongs he's done, but no king can reasonably forgive his crimes. I say that and Martin has probably already written his death chapter.

Is it clear the Aegon character wasn't a fraud?

It's a bit hard to see how it won't turn out to be be an anticlimactic let down, hopefully not, but TWOW will need to raise the bar.

No. He seems to believe himself that he's the real deal. Connington seems to believe it too, as do all those around him. But they could well all just be believing what Varys has told them, there's no indication that any of them were there when "Aegon" was rescued from King's Landing.

Nah, Stannis will concede that she has a better claim than him, and he will see how much work is needed in the Nights Watch. With Jon Snow dead, they need a new commander. Tbf, he will probably put Sam in. :uhoh:

Jaime is first against the wall in the new Targaryen regime. He killed the last one, FFS. With Gregor and Tywin dead, Jaime is all that's left.

If Jon's dead the series would really be gone to shit.
He has to be involved in the climax.

Dany's not big on unjust executions, and once she hears Jaime's story about the greenfire Aegon was willing to unleash on KL, she'll be a bit more sympathetic. She's met her brother, so she knows well how demented a Targaryen can get.

If Jaime dies, it will probably be in battle.

He's Ned-lite, especially in the last one. I guess he was semi interesting in books 1-3 (still kinda dull), but I swear, by ADWD, he was basically a Ned clone. Not as much as Robb obviously but he made some spectacularly dumb decisions in book five all in the name of honour, or some such bullshit.

The events surrounding him are interesting obviously, but it's a case of bad character in a good storyline for me. Still better than Dany which is a shit character in a shit storyline, mind.

Give up the books? Considering there's only two left, and I'm cautiously optimistic about the next one (whenever it lands), I think I can stick it.

Though, if he actually does finish it in two more books, I'll eat my hat. I foresee a "splitting the final book into three" move once we reach that point, much like the Wheel of Time.

I think it was 4. Thinking he may just straight up survive instead of going warg or turning into a living god?

The fifth book turned all the characters to shit.
Tyrion being the worst and most prime example.

And wondering about f**king turtles for chapter after chapter.
Awful.

If the Nights Watch fellas wanted to kill him, they would've properly killed him. These guys have been dealing with zombies and other resurrections for a few months now; if they had the time, they would've burned his body to make sure.

Jon's only hopes of survival are warging into Ghost or Melissandre or similar interrupting in time.

Stewards, not rangers did the stabbing, so a good chance they botched the job. He also 'didn't feel' the fourth blow - perhaps because it never fell and he was rescued ? Who takes over the Wall POV if Jon Snow dies ?
