One year wonder.
We have had plenty of those.

Sards rates that white one much more.

He showed a lot of promise but not quite international standard. He isnt very strong in the breakdown. Probably a couple of seasons away.

HEIGHT 188 cm
WEIGHT 98 Kg

Too small for HM to play anything more than a fill in role.

Which one...?

I really cannot fathom these racist comments.
Performance speaks for itself. And as indicated he is not the
first and shall not be the last overhyped loose forward that
performed in the first year and faded the next.

HM said on Boots & All last night that it was a tough choice between him and Oupa for the bench spot but they went with Oupa because he can cover more positions. Kolisi can really only cover 7 flank, so not a good sub really

And Oupa is bigger and stronger

Impressive list of Loose Forwards available to HM for the upcoming RC.

Our only concern here lies in the front row but the ABs are also struggling there so no problem.

If we list all our loose forwards and put them into some kind of pecking order it should make for interesting reading.

Those that have been slating Marcell. He was huge this past weekend. Massive.
I just think the lads needed some kind of break.

This.

Siya has had to deal with some injuries all season. He is class and will be back.

Against a side that EP might have beaten. Well done.

Ridiculous to choose the loosie from the team that can't tackle over probably the best tackler at the Stormers.

Both better options than Coetzee though.

Actually if you're Meyer and you want a battering ram, they're not. :(

Who is Siya Kolisi?
Nobody ever saw him or knew anybody that ever worked directly for him, but to hear Kobayashi tell it, anybody could have worked for Siya. You never knew. That was his power. The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. And like that, poof. He's gone.

Like other Stormers (Habana, Carr) Kolisi spends too much time in the gym and is now too big to be as mobile as he was last season.

Nah.

Carr has actually had a brilliant season and was unlucky not to be selected to the Bok squad. Kolisi has struggled with injuries this whole season and as a result just hasn't been able to get going. He'll peak in time for the RWC and relegate Coetzee back to carrying oranges, like he should be. Or maybe Oupa has him carrying his bags by then as well...

Interesting thread looking back...

I might have been trolling about Coetzee a little back then

Pulled this from another Siya thread back then. Worth another read. http://www.unionsportsmag.co.za/the-tru ... ya-kolisi/

had a fkng monster game vs France and did it all. France sucks major major monuuuumental cooooooooockkkk now but still, on his own he did really well just like Marx at hooker. If he keeps that level of play, no doubt he's a top flanker right now.

You all forget Cassiem from the Free State - bigger and better than Siya. And technically more proficient.

He has been good for a few months now. Was disappointed he didn't play against the Saders. Thought it was a convenient copout and the way the Stormers were getting butt f**ked noone looked good in that side but he put a lot of effort in and I did notice. I have had him in my bok side from when we started talking bok side. I actually had him pegged for bok captain. He is starting to win me over. It's not his fault he plays for such a joke of a union

Cassiem is in the A side. He needs to beat this performance to get a look in.

Siya doesn't have the bulk but he gets around. He is hungry. Tats all I ask of the boks. Which is why I don't trust chicken runners

Not really. He had a bad tackle against Argentina and dropped off form. At least he worked his way back. Which is more than some have done
