9 is so great as playthrough 18 yrs later. I have clocked 18hrs in no timedanthefan wrote:9 was properly amazing for its time. I'd say it would still be worth a playthrough with the up-to-date version that has speed up/cheats/no random battle options.Risteard wrote:10 is my favourite though I've never played 9.
Replayed it so many times including platinum trophy on the HD remaster.
I f**king hated 13, nearly felt betrayed or something that a series I liked so much put out such a shit game.

It is my brother's favourite by a longshot
My list is
1) FF7
2) FF10
3) FF9
4) FF8
I like CK2, but it's got a crazy learning curve.Killface wrote:Anyone else on here into Paradox Games? I’ve been giving Imperator: Rome another go after the release was really disappointing. EUIV is still much better for now.
I would think CK2 is probably the easiest one to get into. It’s not a game you really can win or lose. So you can just bumble around, having plenty of fun while learning the mechanics for a proper attempt in next game.Zakar wrote:I like CK2, but it's got a crazy learning curve.Killface wrote:Anyone else on here into Paradox Games? Stellaris is decent, and seemingly completely changes every new update.
All of their games are very heavy on DLC, but they engage well with the community and modders etc.
Yup, enjoying it myself.Boomslang wrote:Started Outer Worlds this morning. Brilliant so far. No bugs, great story, think it’s going to be a classic.
Still haven't "finished" ck2.pigaaaa wrote:Crusader Kings 3 to be released next year
The latest gen Tomb Raider games are unsurprisingly a similar style to uncharted but a bit darker. Not quite as shooty or filled with cinematic set-pieces but enjoyable.inactionman wrote:Anyone recommend a decent alternative to Uncharted?
Loved that series, but (aside from a spin-off with some of the supporting characters) I don't think they're making more.
The Witcher 3 sort of ruined gaming for me. Everything else even when good just pales in comparison.CM11 wrote:https://youtu.be/ndl1W4ltcmg

Playing through W3 at the moment too. Nothing has touched it since release for me.

it's been released now. Have had it since launch day but not been able to play much (and take a frightful hammering when I do). Pretty decent though, I'd say the best since MW2Thomas wrote:Yep. It does what it says on the packet. Just like every other game mode. I enjoyed it because I used to play CoD years ago on a shitty ADSL2+ connection of 2-3mbps. I'd get hammered all the time and lagged heaps. Now my PS4 is plugged directly into our new cable router which is 100mbps. My K/D ratio is finally above 1!
I'm really enjoying it. Hit Level 50 last night. Amazing what a great internet connection can do!Floppykid wrote:I always preferred the original Blops over MW2, that was their really great COD though.
May pick this one up.
I’ve never liked “full Kojima” story telling like MGS4. Appears this is worse? He needs to keep it tight like MGS 1 and 3.Floppykid wrote:Seems Death Stranding is a fairly awful game.
can't listen to this right now, but if they don't have the Bitmap Bros heavily featured, they can GTFO...CarrotGawks wrote:This might fill an hour or so at work for a few people. BBC 3 are doing a series on video game soundtracks. It's pretty good so far (and there's no geo-restrictions on it.)

Edit: That's BBC Radio 3, and it's available as a podcast, not the online BBC3 tv station. The show's available for 29 days from today.
Big PKM fanboy here. Haven't maxed out yet though, but enjoying ripping teams apart with a suppressor and Ghost perk.Thomas wrote:I'm really enjoying it. Hit Level 50 last night. For the last week or so the 725 double barrel shotgun was so overpowered. Guys were sniping people with it. They've since nerfed it which is great. Current weapons of choice are a close to maxed out PKM LMG, the M4 and an MP5. I have two versions of the LMG. One with a big scope and a long barrel for nailing snipers on large maps and the other with a short stubby barrel, huge clip and all the trimmings. I can run nearly as fast as I can with a smaller gun. It's great for flag maps where I can hold down a sustained burst of fire.
I have two PKM classes. My long range one is a heavy sumbitch but I usually find a good spot and lay down fire. I have an optic scope on it with grips that give me range and stability. I'm carrying a launcher with that one as well (usually something to blast planes out of the sky). Nothing better than picking off snipers on that bridge map.Balls Out! wrote:Big PKM fanboy here. What perks/ mods are you using so you keep your speed up? Switch to a pistol for running, maybe? I'm carrying a rocket launcher as my secondary so when I have people pinned down behind cover with my heavy fire I just switch to that and blast them

I am back in Lindblum now after Eiko and Garnet summoned Alexander to repel Kuja's attack. Good thing Garland stepped in to prevent Kuja taking control of AlexanderBullettyme wrote:Loved 8 actually.Wilderbeast wrote:Loved it, flawed masterpiece. Haven't been able to finish 15, must give it another go.
Would echo everything said about 9 here, brilliant game and story. I really loved 12 as well.
Would be 7, 9, 12, 8 in orders of favourites for me. The sentimentality of 7 just gets me.
I only played 7 - 10, left school around X-2 and have only really got back into gaming in the last 2 years or soBullettyme wrote:Must look at getting it again, having read about it again I'm getting a serious dose of nostalgia. Vivi is such a brilliant character.
Edit: looks like you can get a few of the FF series for ps4 through the PlayStation store
Double edit: Jesus just remembering 13. What a load of garbage. Such a frustrating repetitive game.

They're fairly pricey on the virtual stores, though they've been remastered as far as I'm aware.Bullettyme wrote:Must look at getting it again, having read about it again I'm getting a serious dose of nostalgia. Vivi is such a brilliant character.

Yeah I finished it.Bullettyme wrote:On another note has anyone played The Outer Worlds yet? Is a fallout fan it is pretty good, great writing and proper RPG elements. Can be a bit repetitive though.
One of the most awesome games. If you like that check out Project Zomboid too. They're basically the only two games I play (and both prove the game is more important than the graphics).Raggs wrote:Got sucked into rimworld again. Middle difficulty, some quality of life mods. Never actually finished it before so trying again now.
Had my most versatile colonist in devilstrand, flak and a marine helmet. He got tapped on the head by a poor wooden mace and his head basically exploded. Dead in one shot. Thankfully I'd found a resurrection serum not long before, but i wasn't planning on using it on something so silly.
I've finished it. There was a lot of good but I don't know how they left it balanced the way it was. Items are all over the place and utterly useless, ammo is so plentiful you never need to worry, and when you upgrade your weapons a bit you just become a murder machine. If you put a lot of points in your lying/sneaking/hacking/persuasion type skills you can talk your way out of everything. Thought it was a decent 7/10 but by the end I just wanted to be done with it.Bullettyme wrote:On another note has anyone played The Outer Worlds yet?
