That's every Tarantino film since Pulp Fiction, IMO.
f**king Palestinian, Inglorious Basterds was great. Hans Landa is indisputably one of his best villians
I managed about an hour before I switched it off. That's better than Hateful Eight, which only lasted about 20 minutes.

Tarantino is too in love with his own dialogue and it just grates me how indulgent and cutesy he is with it.
That is true but IB is still a decent watch, if a bit overlong.

Woody still gets great casts too but who on earth watches those anymore?

P.S. Leo is looking very waxy these days.

Do adults actually watch these fcking things?
You don't have to try so hard for the movie snob crown anymore - Kid A is too busy making anti-AB gifs and Floppykid has caught himself in a conundrum/loop of whether or not he can like Sicario 2 even though its not directed by Denis Villeneuve. The crown is yours!

Also, maybe having sherberts will help you enjoy a Jurassic movie?

Man now I feel like sherbert, actual sherbert ... not "sherbert".
Probably not mate as I'm not 13. The target audience.

Oh, I'm not a Jurassic fan, have only seen Jurassic Park when it first came out, and the last one at $10 movies - but they're clearly movies made for adults as well as kids. It's laughable to suggest otherwise.

They're movies targeted primarily at kids/teens but given PG-13 ratings so parents need to go as well. It's laughable to suggest otherwise.

At my local cinemaplex Jurassic World has 9 showings this evening (Gold Class, V Max and normal) - how may kids did you think are going to those showings?

Cool. I only just found out the other day that Sicario translates to hitman.

Can't help but think it would've enhanced my enjoyent of the original film a bit more knowing that tit-bit from the outset
Also “Soldado” is Spanish for “Hippopotamus”.

Looks pretty good but on side note. Why do female movie characters with long hair almost never tie their hair up? It irritates me...way more than it should admittedly.

It looks good to be fair, probably won't pay to see it because the risk is still too great, but definitely will see it at some point.

Saw Sicario 2.
Abject disappointment.

Lacks everything that made the first film a brilliant action movie. The plot is utterly contrived/bloated, the dialogue is dreadful and there are no arresting set pieces.

Yeah, I was willing to cut it a lot of slack, but absolutely everything in it is so horribly inferior to the original.
It feels like a knock off movie.
It's hard not to spoil by elaborating further.

Sadly a lot of people seem to have been trained to see a horror film lacking in jump scares as 'not scary'.

Saw Jurassic World last night. Pretty shit, TBH. Had loads dinosaurs, is about the best that can be said about it.
Started with dinos, natural disaster and EXPLOSIONS, underwent the usual "we've other plans for these dinos" off-the-rack baddie, and then turned into a slasher in the finale, with associated terrible decision making by certain individuals exacerbating things.
Lots of nods to the original which were about as subtle as a kick in the teeth.

Hard to suspend disbelief enough throughout, even accepting that it's possible to bring dinosaurs back.
