I expect he'll produce a new, improved space shuttle for the Xmas special.

How many more seasons are they aiming at?
It's gone to hell but I'll grind it out for loyalty's sake if they're getting close to the end.

I don't think they'll make it if they're looking for three or four more seasons and there's no point sticking with it if it's likely to be cancelled before the end.

They talked about 14 seasons. Now I reckon 8 and they are done. Shame, because I could have watched 2 or 3 more, but this whole Negan thing is just on for too long. I'd really like to se 10M zombies landing on their front lawn and them having to plan on hw to deal with them all. A good few head slicing contraptions, pits, air compressors that shoot ball bearings, traps etc.

That's depressing and probably true :(

On a similar note I remember seeing an interview with the little blonde English actor from Lost when it was all the rage.
He said they were expanding from the planned six seasons to nine.
I pulled the pin immediately.
Three whole extra seasons of bollocks and misdirection and meaningless blind alleys in a plot already riddled with exactly that. It was a relief.

It's a shame as it could probably be revived by a new team of writers and the basic premise has some legs.

Was always stronger when they were on the move previously encountering new things. Would perhaps be good to un-hitch itself from the comics (guessing Negan is a long term fixture in those) and kill off Rick. But I guess for the moment, they'll just keep doing what they are doing until the ratings hit a crisis point.

Lost didn't run for 9 seasons, it only ran for 6 - and that was the producer's decision - the network wanted it to keep running.

Some people didn't like the final season of Lost, but it was in a class better than what TWD serves up these days.

Negan could be alone surrounded by 10m zombies and they would still have him survive and find a way through...

Show needs Rick and Negan dead, some fresh faces and ideas.

Why Negan Is Still the Worst Part of The Walking Dead

Best part of the last episode was the mystery helicopter, maybe we have something new to add to the mix at last.

The helicopter? One appeared in season 1 but I don't remember one since

There was a helicopter crash in season 3, the governor helped rescue the survivor, found out where his buddies were, killed them all and took the equipment.

Well I guess we can assume it was a different helicopter then unless there was a miracle mechanic to fix it.

There was also a helicopter which turned the herd toward the farm at the end of season 2.

So we haven't seen a copter for at least 4 seasons though? I'm just desperate in a last hope that we get some game changer that rescues this series.

Yep, that's true. And that was something like 9 months before the crash. Though arguably all the helicopters before the crash could have been the same copter from the same base.

It genuinely seems like the only thing coming from this show is bad reviews.
How is it still up and running?

Well they have already made the episodes. And to be fair s8 is just so much worse than anything before. Its like some amateurs took over production.

The two episodes prior to this were ok. As in, a solid B. This was a D-. Boring, badly written and utterly pointless.

I thought the seasoned veteran forgetting that eyes can see what's around your feet, closely followed by a soldier dropping their pistol when a gun fight starts were particular highlights. The second one could have done with a pratfall sound effect.

RPG death aside, it's getting worse.

This weeks highlights include Ezekiel draped 'pon the stage, festooned in chains,
Curl's secret elocution lessons paying networking dividends,
Mrs Spock's rubber apron and presumed lack of panties.

I had hoped for more from the swamp lesbians.

It's been what, 4-5 years, and yet they've developed their own new dialect?

I generally like the show and accept a lot of its bullshit but that's just a bit of nonsense too far for me.

Fear the Walking Dead is almost good. It has more interesting story lines but the writing is so lazy that they take the cheap way out of making characters do incredibly stupid out of character things to set up events. It is particularly annoying with this because with just a little more thought and skill and it could be quite good.

Though other things annoy me too, like someone showing a secret entrance to a pathway that they had previously hidden and flinging the cover away so that they will be unable to close it up after they go through. OK it is no longer important to the story but the fking character doesn't know that.

Well well well
There you go
Standard walking dead what was another shyte episode with a stunning mid season finale ending

Alas a lot of people had wanted that to happen for a while!
Is that what happens in the comic book or have the writers gone off script?

M - lets get closer to see
og - I'm pretty sure its a trap, lets not
M - On we go
....
M - Oh, it was a trap, who could have foreseen that

Bad guys - Ha it was a trap, give us all your guns
M- we have guns and they have guns so we better give them all our guns to see if that somehow changes things in our favour....... oh it didn't
