Almost as strange as a video showing pugs getting psychologically tortured.

Who knew that the first Academy Award winner for best picture, Wings (1927), had nudity!? I knew that 'Pre-Code' films were a bit more risque, but the most I'd seen amongst the few silent films I've watched was 'boobs from afar' in a DW Griffiths epic.

It seems Wings also featured two males kissing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84xEZ2xZQYs

Ecstasy in 1933 showed a nude Hedy Lamarr and is the first non-pornographic film to feature full frontal nudity and a woman receiving oral sex.

Believe it or not, this shot of her face was revolutionary at the time...

I'm guessing most wouldn't even know what was going on?

Saw the above on imgur, with some pretty good / bad puns, such as: 'just a pop gun', 'ice cola'd killer', 'die-it pepsi', that the post was 'soda-pressing'

Never mind, I think people would have a pretty good idea of what was going on!

It's not exactly subtle - also I think people in the olden days weren't as prudish as we like to think they were.

Interestingly Hedy Lamarr invented a form of radar for detecting torpedoes in WWII.

And since it's Easter:

Some say this happened in Queenstown, NZ, but others say it's really the Blues' season in picture form.

^^^ Noooooo! Guessing he couldn't see?

A volunteer at the museum where I used to work owns his own scale replica WWI Nieuport and flies with a bunch of buddies who do as well. Showed me a video one day from his GoPro where you can just see his mate in front pull away. After a short time, he takes off and as he does so he says 'Watch to the right of the frame, and you can see my buddy crashed in the field of corn.' Because of the angle, he said he didn't even see it happen despite him being in front, but he thought he was going to clip a tree on the left, swerved too far to the right and the cornfield dragged him in. (Normally they use that patch of grass early in the season when the corn isn't up yet, and it was their first time trying when it was high.)

Pretty sure he said he wouldn't upload that footage, but there are other clips here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1h-xDU ... kw5FAp_ydw

Is that the warbirds over Wanaka crash from a few days ago? Briefly saw a picture of the aftermath, but hadn't realized it had happened like that. How on earth did the pilot misjudge that so badly!?

You wonder at what point the driver thought "Maybe I should stop. Nah, fuck it."

Yes I get that this is a test/staged.

And fake. Dead snake I guess, pulled it up his trouser leg with plastic wire or something, you can see it when he pulls the snake out.

In that case, a damn good actor.

Sounds genuinely shit scared and his response on removing it is exactly the kind of response I'd expect of someone surviving that kind of encounter.

Still funny, though.
