I think it is now fairly clear that the Irish thread is simply overrun by lads who would cut off their nose to spite their provincial face.

I think it is clear now that we Leinster folk need a return to the RLTL traditions of old. A place in which Irish selections can be discussed away from infantile Nordies and whining Cousin Fuckers who can't accept they are the 4th Province.

A place where things like being able to scrummage and defend are legitimate reasons for picking players.

Let enlightenment begin.

Would prefer to keep the centres and put payne at full back myself but that is unlikely to happen.

It's the one selection that baffles me I must say.

I just don't view him as a game changing sort of player but I suppose Joe is thinking:

Madser 10/12/15
McFadden 11/14/13

Certain cold logic to it based off the premise of an early outside back injury.

Strauss on the bench is the other one you hear alot about.

But again can you afford two hookers with a history of the yips in the same squad?

Just make a positive Irish thread, with no moaning, no Earl and no Munsterites.

Difficult task, tbf.

It's been funny watching alot of the Munsterites, most had it out for Schmidt from the start due to the fact they were butthurt over Kidney. Sad men.

I'm just looking forward to having a nice place to celebrate an Irish win.

The smell of desperate hope that we lose Saturday in palpable on the old thread.

Good thread.

It will be interesting to see both the team, and how well the tactics go against the Italians. We've been poor in scoring tries when in the oppo 22, some through poor play, but a lot through bad luck. I hope Murray has had a kick up the arse and remembers he's there to get the ball out quickly, and not wrestle with Parisse, no matter how much he'd enjoy doing that.

Ahhhhh..... What a glorious place. I was getting fed up of all the negativity and whining. Not winning anything in years has really left the other provincial supporters so negative.

It's OK crouchy, as a regular attendee at the RDS and resident of our fine city, you're allowed. (Gives nod, and secret handshake to Mullet).

Sure you are one of us now. Welcome to the light side of the force and wear the 3 stars on your jersey with dignity and honour rather than the humiliation and despair that a single asterisk has brought you in the past.

Fitz is missed for the lack of that bit of Gold dust but it's not like we're not used to it.

This partnership in the centre is really just minding the farm till be unleash Henshaw/Ringrose.

8)

I am truly honoured Cammy.

I like Molly Malone, at least in her statue she looks like she had a decent rack.

Scrummies get a lot of blame for that Camroc but it's as much to do with the pack giving him clean ball.

Indeed.

Leinster, never mind ireland, will be so sexy next season, and we should get a decent NTHCSBH group after finishing in the top 2 (just not tempting fate) in the pro 12.

Anybody else thinking about getting locked at the Ireland game and then heading up to Leinster A in the brook off their face?

I actually considered it. Donnybrook is technically on my way home, if I stumble to that game then at least I'm heading in the right direction!

Well that's me sold.

You can bring this glass onto the terrace?

I really do wonder why we never seem to produce 9s.

Murray is the closest we have to a top table 9.

This thread takes me back to the pre RDS days. The days when proper rugby people mingled on the Donnybrook terrace before a Friday night game, talking about rugby objectively and free from bias. I remember as a kid looking up at the auld lads calling for Bob Casey's reintroduction to the Irish side and not being able to wait until I could join them supping a pint. Alas, the lunatics have taken over the asylum.

The Irish Rugby Thread is a disgrace.

It's weird. The short, narky chippy cúnt is not a rarity around these here parts.

Excellent work.

There was a new low yesterday when one of them was moaning about the fact we might hammer Italy. I'm going to the game on Saturday and them shitheads are ruining it for me.

Clapping opposition tries and watching Alan McGowan doing the business.
