There was a Grand Designs episode a few years ago with a couple who bought a Huf house. From memory it all seemed very slick and impressive. Probably expensive now with the fall in sterling.

It was extremely slick. the biggest problem they had was that the ground works from the British builders weren't done to close enough tolerances, but even then they managed to work round it; from memory they were less than half a day out on delivery

That was on the Burwood Park estate in Weybridge. Great couple who spent the majority of their time bickering about which of their extensive modern art abominations should go where

I am looking at one of these:

The trouble with lawyers is they can be difficult to detect as they disguise themselves as humans.

Without any proof at all except 'a feeling'; I'm going to call BS on the Hippo & Elephant numbers too.

I know Hippos are deadly, but I doubt their knocking off more than one person a day ???

Ditto for Elephants; the poor buggers are on the verge of extinction, they're being steadily eliminated by mans expansion into their territory. Very suspicious

Why have we not evolved an instinctive reaction against mosquitoes? We have against snakes and sharks. How many times do you run in to a bloody shark!

Tsetse flies are gas things really. The effect they have on human life in their range is incredible, both directly and indirectly, and yet the average man on the street wouldn't know what they are.

The Hippo numbers are old news. You think 1.5 people a day dying in Africa from Hippos would be a big thing. They're far more worried about Humans and disease.

They really should consider telling you how they kill people on the image. Maybe in small text in brackets after the name of the animal.

Yes, yes I saw that. Didn't really want to Google all that. It could be Latin for Really stupid French gastronomes ingest the snails, resulting in being able to shit through a screen door and drowning in bile, followed by an excruciating death.

I see.

So do they eat them? Or do these snails crawl up urethras and lay eggs? Do they swarm like pirhanas and sting?

I'm going to need to post a picture shortly...

As it says in the image, snails are responsible for spreading schistosomiasis (or bilharzia), a particularly nasty disease, which can cause liver damage, kidney failure, infertility, or bladder cancer., and ultimately death. It can also cause poor growth and learning difficulties in children (who are often the most likely to catch the disease). The disease is spread by contact with fresh water contaminated with parasites released from infected freshwater snails.

The Bill Gates Foundation has been funding treatment in sub-saharan africa for several years.

I could look again, but instead I'll just work on the assumption that they go in through the anus.

Bill Gates must be one of the greatest humans alive. His work is seriously underrated.

Although I question the 50k killed by snakes.

Have no idea why, but there is something about pics of custom motorcycles that make me want to do terrible things to my Santa Fé and tell the Mrs that she gets the 'big' family car in future because I'm off to become an organ-donor-in-waiting.
