Tennents has a long history. The lager was pretty much the first one ever brewed in the UK - hence its popularity in Scotland. I have no idea how it compares to all the other mass produced rubbish but I can't believe it's any worse.

Article here

https://www.walesonline.co.uk/whats-on/ ... l-16702766

Important bit here

It looked at the national average for each beverage's popularity. It then compared how popular it was in each region, to the national average.

A better question would be: how the hell can the supposedly skint Welsh afford to drink Peroni?

We're skint because we spend all our money on Peroni. It's all about priorities.

Our homeless would probably turn their noses up at Tennents

In fairness, that manual could be current in Belgium.

An even better question would be: how the hell can drinking peroni be described as having good taste in beer.

Acceptable for a mass produced lager at best.

They've got it a bit wrong. We actually drink Peroñi, the Mexican knock off. It's a cider :)

I have. After travelling around Europe for the better part of 3 months back when I was 20 I was returning to London where upon my mum's request I went to visit my great-aunt.

My great-aunt much like my grandmother was a truly lovely soul who was excited to host both my travelling buddy and I for a few days. She cooked a huge meal for us and everything. So, when she brought out two rather large cans of Foster's considering the hospitality shown neither one of us had the heart to refuse.

It's a friend of mine's favourite. That I'm teetotal may be the secret to our still being friends.
