So some stunning tries, the Mad Butcher and all the community work, and so on. Well done folks.

But... out of last year's 16 sides only six haven't won a premiership in the last 20 years: Cronulla, Canberra, Gold Coast, Parramatta, North Queensland, Warriors. Bottom half of the table six times in the last ten years.

First half of the first game was the bomb. The rest's been, well, underwhelming.

Honestly don't care and it might even be a good thing for rugby (union) that they don't win. Always support the Kiwis and like league as a sport but personally the Warriors winning a prem would register about the same as the Breakers or Phoenix winning their leagues. They might be called the NZ Warriors now but they'll always be the (south and west) Auckland Warriors to this nonJAFA.

Ad banner at the top of my page is Warriors on Maori TV. Only thing is the 4 players shown are Mannering, Johnson, Vatuvai and Leuluai.

Surely they could've picked a Maori player?

Wow, was about to jump in with Johnson but didn't realise he wasn't Maori.

Laotian huh?

Call me ignorant but does that make him the most decorated Laotian athlete on the planet?

I think Leuluai is Maori.

 Are you such a numb nuts that you're completely discounting a players heritage just because of their fathers last name?

Ross Filipo - Maori
Ben Afeaki - Maori
Willie Lose - Maori (although we tend not to claim him).

Is Michael Jones not Samoan? Is Ruben Wiki not Samoan?

No, you fcuking idiot.

By why claim him as a FULL Maori? He is also Samoan.

Do you even know what Leuluai means? Very Maori meaning. FFS.

Micheal Jones IS SAMOAN. He played for Moataa rugby club IN SAMOA and also played for MANU SAMOA.

Dont try and claim.

FFS man, you were normal for a week and contributed quite well to the Poly thread and now you've returned to your toddler having a tantrum persona.

I didn't claim Leuluai as full anything and didn't say he wasn't Samoan, I just said I think he's Maori (IIRC Maori TV did a news thing about the wider Leuluai family before a Pacific cup and one cousin was playing for Samoa and one for NZ Maori and they said that Thomas was too.

So you're on board with the fact that a last name can be irrelevant to all of a player's heritage?

Didn't realise Leuluai was part Maori.

Can't really blame me for assuming he was full islander though.

That guy in the bottom left would fit fight in down in Tokoroa.
