How is it that he can excel so much in Super Rugby yet not so much in U20 rugby? To give him the benefit of the doubt, perhaps it's because he doesn't have the same quality players around him.
It's quite bizarre really. Was it Catman who said Bosch should fark off to France? Are we not possibly being being too hard on these boys.
Who is the attack and backline coach

assfly, if it's the same article I'm thinking of...didn't it simply suggest that he's not quite ready for test rugby but that he will be?

A bit of getting back at Sards, I think, who wants him in the Bok team, but the article was really about him not being ready yet, something many of us have been saying. He still has to sort out his defence and his game management.

I thought it was harsh. He's a teenager ffs, and the hype around him is based on some amazing performances against teams much stronger than what he's just faced.
While he has been exceptional in Super Rugby, Bosch certainly didn't look a cut above any of the other international flyhalves from top-tier nations doing the rounds in Georgia.
Perhaps arriving at the tournament that confident was his ultimate downfall. Perhaps he underestimated the opposition.
I would like to see him nurtured into the Boks slowly, not necessarily playing for them this year. But somehow I can't see Kiwi scribes writing articles like this about Barrit or Carter when they were 19.

The Baby Boks missed out on the final because the backs had a bad day . Their execution was poor, their decision making was poor and they just didn't gel today. Still, they only lost by 2 points to the 6N champions.

Tough luck to them but to write them off is ludicrous
Don't mean to rain on your parade but that was a much weakened version of the side that won the 6N's. Not a vintage year for England at all.

TBH, the England flyhalf was a step or two above him on the day - same age and both on their 2nd JRWCs.

Unfortunately us Saffers, journos and supporters, tend to write players off very quickly

Malins is a real quality fly-half. No shame in being outshone by him.

If I remember correctly we've struggled against them in the past?

Strange to think we've got schools like Paarl, KES, Monument, Michaelhouse producing stars, and England have kids that don't really go to school, smoke on park benches and drink cider.

I think what we all are saying, including the journo but except Sards, he's not ready for test rugby yet. Let him develop his talents and fix his faults. Even RdP doesn't feel he's ready for Bok rugby yet

The timing of the tournament play a huge role. Our players haven't played competitive rugby all year. They come off their season.

The SH needs an U20 tournament leading into the U20 WC.

No, you want to make him a Bok and he proved that he's not ready to step up yet. Simple as that. Slagging you off though is for fun :)

You blamed Libbok but the Bokkies were leading by 5 with 5 minutes to go, on attack in enemy territory, when Bosch decided on an ill conceived and poorly executed drop goal which put England back on attack leading up to them eventually scoring the winning try. He wasn't the sole cause of the loss but he was a major contributor to it. Accept it.

The drop goal attempt was at the end . After the try was scored.

It's entirely relevant when comparing the relative strength of our juniors. Losing to a weakened English side is concerning.

You're right, the drop goal attempt was after the try. My mistake. This doesn't change the fact that it was a poor decision given the situation in the game at the time with time still on the clock and the Bokkies in control inside the England half.

You said his drop kick led to a try that lost the baby boks the match and he was a major contributor to the loss.

Maybe that is not clear in your mind but in my mind that is a personal attack on the player. Unwarranted and factually incorrect

TBH Libboks overcooked kick and the resulting try cost us the game...everything thereafter was despersate stuff to try and recover the lead in a very limited time............we can blame....the scrumhalf for not passing to the backline or the forwards...the forwards for not asking for the ball....the scrumhalf for a delayed pass which put Curwin under pressure...Jensra for being a dick about Curwin...Yankee for not watching the game again...Ouboet for talking up Lecock....Sandyvagina for being a doos.

Jammer Jens, maar daar is te veel volksvreemdes wat hul kak post op daai draad. Ek wil graag hierdie een vir ons hou om ons laaities se vordering te bespreek.

Altho the score was close I feel we have won the match easily. Even with 14 at the end we nearly score and kept attacking which was nice to see. I To single out players are unfair but we will improve playing as a team. I do believe that this team have lots of talent, waiting to explode. One match at a time and Ireland wont be easy.

We havent lost. In these tournaments its always good to scrape through in the round robins. When the real tournament (business end) start, you need to peak. You know Willemse, he struggled last night but you know he can play at the highest level. The same for most of them. Get positive for a change. You are going to get the same thing with Rassie and the Springboks. To be negative means vokol, then you should never watch / play sport.

We were shocking in the first half, but much improved in the second. People forget that twice we breached the tryline only to be called back by the TMO (Double movement & obstruction). We could have been out of sight .

Our replacements made a very strong impact.

Look like Sardyntjie & Handyman only watched the first half.

I must single out the replacement fatty. He made a massive difference.
