Based of course on the assumption it is true (who the fudge knows?), how would the hard core pro-life base deal with it?

I'm pretty sure they already know that he is morally a douchebag.

3 wives, beauty pagents, 'locker room talk' was all known before the primary and election.

Yes. For today's republicans the ends justify the means.

Trump is the unpleasant means to a desirable (in their view) end. It's the equivalent of using violence to protest for civil rights. They believe that it is worth doing something (or supporting someone) morally repugnant for the greater good.

As the evangelical woman interviewed on the BBC a while back said, if it's a choice between the pro-life, anti gay marriage adulterer and the pro-choice, who gives a toss about the gay weddings adulterer, they'll plump for the former every time.

Only one death at a political rally in America since 2016 that I can recall...but happy to be educated if there have been any others?

Obviously most violence is not murder, but burning and smashing property is incredibly destructive to a community and it is amazing to see the kinds of people that support 'punching nazis'.

https://boundingintocomics.com/2018/08/ ... my-hambly/
https://twitter.com/rezaaslan/status/10 ... 72/photo/1

There have been attempts at murder such as Eric Clanton and Charllotesville, and also incidents like the 'smash the patriarchy and chill' shooter which should be filed under mental illness.

Some fringe morons in balaclavas being morons vs the leader of the Republican Party and POTUS calling for people to be punched at his rallies and offering to pay their legal costs if they do....

You are anti-vax, flat earth levels of deluded if you don't notice the violence of the left.

Not at all - I am not dismissing the pricks in antifa, but I have never seen Pelosi ask one of here supporters to punch someone...

I realize the Charlottesville moron was also a fringe lunatic and not indicative of the Republican party (as with antifa for the Dems); but surely the Republican POTUS is?

I was looking for the Maxine Waters quotes where she was inciting violence against repubs and a quick google produced the piece of unhinged madness from some libs

https://townhall.com/columnists/johnhawkins/2017/06/15/20-liberal-calls-for-violence-against-conservatives-in-quotes-n2341401

As for the Waters (a congresswoman) calling for action, here's the quote I was actually referring to:

Do you have the date that poll was taken in 2016? Pre or post election, and if post were there any similar polls taken in 2014?

so basically the 65 percent that the precedent and his henchmen don't cater too are growing tired of being told the importance of taking the high road.

Yet the first terrorism charge under Trump was to a white male who killed a random black guy. Remind me again the amount right wing terrorism like the pipe bomber and synagogue mass murder to their left wing equivalents again?

this will indeed make the orange shitgibbon’s position very difficult if he refuses to sign the budget. The GOP is turning against him

It is the biggest crowd to ever overflow from a political rally. PERIOD.

So.....

Trump had 6,500 inside (unless there was a H&S SNAFU) with a large number outside. Estimates are that he was at somewhere between 10 and 15K total (probably on the lower end of that scale)

O'Rourke drew at least 7,000, but El Paso police are putting it as between 10,000 and 15,0000

Trump claimed that only 200-300 attended the O'Rourke rally, while his campaign manager claims that 35,000 attended the Trump rally (both inside and out)

The photos don;t really show the true picture. A most of the O'Rourke rally were actually on the March until right before Beto kicked off. There was a small number that ONLY attended the rally, and that's what that photo is capturing, as it's before the March arrived

Interesting that they drew similar-sized attendances.

Trump has proven since literally day one of his Presidency that he can't be trusted with crowd size estimation.

El Paso was an interesting choice of rally site though, after trashing it with multiple, explicit lies about the city itself in his SotU speech so recently. He's been called out by the local Sheriff, many local politicians and reps for his bald faced lies (crime rates, wall construction etc...), so it'll be interesting to see how this one plays out.

I don't think anyone can reasonably draw any sort of conclusion to be honest.

BBC Cameraman assaulted at the Trump rally, despite the clear evidence of earlier graphs showing how Trump supporters were a bunch of pacifists.

I'd still like to know the point you were trying to make about the size of the overflow MAGA crowd.

He was only pushed, though it's worth noting the reporter he was working with is blind and I'm assuming stands more chance at being alarmed by jostling, not that anyone should be getting pushed in such fashion

what is beto rallying for?

Has he announced yet.

It's also so odd that Trump spends so much of his presidency at rallies.

Why are they calling the Trump crowd an overflow? It makes them sound like the kind of thing one would find in the sewer, that's perhaps apt for Trump supporters but a more positive piece of phrasing might help

It was a "March for Truth' apparently. You could be forgiven for thinking that the Truth is one thing that doesn't require a march, it really ought to be self-evident, but then all someone would have to do is point out the last couple of years.

Actual quote from Trump at the Rally:

"And by the way... we're one for one. We ran one election, and we won. After we win another one, we're going to be two for O!"

Yup, that's how mathematics works.

He doubled down on his lies about crime stats in El Paso at the same time too.

Like the lack of understanding around black outs and white outs at high school games, this is another "Americanism" that is commonly used for the additional seating space, alos used for parking at events "overflow parking" etc.

A GOP Senator bodyslammed a reporter and won. So a push means nothing but yeah it is the Dems and independents getting more violent.

I have to see the official crowd numbers. A March is trickier than a rally to count but we all kno that Trump is lying about the numbers.
