Seemed to be a sort of pact. Not sure how much it will matter at this stage as Trump will just make up a silly nickname and call them all losers who just want to be on TV (another massively ironic thing for the ratings obsessed reality TV star to say). The scared-of-brown-people base will just lap it up.

But maybe, just maybe, it might influence some of the more sane republicans to turn away too.

"Freeze peach" activism of much of the right was little more than cycnically trying to garner publicity. Claiming you've been kicked off twitter for pundit jobs, claiming you've got a brain bleed from "quick drying cement" milkshake attack to raise a 140k via gofundme(FTR I thought the beating was bad but the aftermath just makes me wonder). So much of it is just grifting. Of course it#'s not confined to the right, the Krassensteins are complete charlatans.

There's an interesting split developing on the right between fusionists and integralists that started as a spat between David French of National Review and Sohrab Ahmari of fFirst Things and the NY Post. It started as an argument about drag queen story time hour in a local library with Ahmari basically saying they shouldnt have that platform in a public space. The latter are distinctly less libertarian than the former on pretty much everything from economics to free speech.

It really is interesting.

Trump suggests that he will apply more tariffs and the market falls. Trump suggests that the tariffs will be delayed and the market surges.

There was a suggestion a couple of months back by someone on Quora that Trump (and probably Kushner) are deliberately manipulating the market in order to profit, and although it sounds pretty far-fetched, I think it's the kind of thing which would strike Trump as "smart".

If it's true (and it probably isn't), then there's likely to be a paper trail.

However, what this does show is that Trump can depress the market and then bring on a boom in time for November 2020.

Not sure if that's a win for the Left. At least Tucker was aligned with much of the left in believing that the economic system in the US is problematic and that the economic class divide was damaging the people. That the economic elites were generating wealth on the back of exploitation of the workers, and internationalist capitalism was seeing a situation where - once they had outlived their usefulness to the capitalist system - American workers were being discarded and left behind.

Of course, being a conservative American he was unable to understand that this is what socialists and the left have been saying for decades, and so he went down the route of a more... national socialist solution, rather than a genuinely socialist solution.

Shapiro on the other hand is a flat out free-marketeer, perfectly happy to see people harvested to feed the capitalist machine. In common with many who are born with advantages, they like to believe that their good fortune is entirely down to hard work and their success is proof that the system works.

Carlson is a scumbag who is half right. Shapiro is all scumbag.

Probably means Tucker is out of sight out of mind as a FP advisor on Iran.....

Can't for the life of me fathom the appeal of Shapiro and I think his speed addled demanour is probably best suited to radio.

I guess the white supremacist "newspapers" and internet sites that regularly link to his segments don't really exist (in a meaningful way :uhoh: ).

We can all agree that that the El Paso shooter was a white supremacist, right?

I am not saying Tucker (and Trump and Judge Janine and The Friends) influenced this guy at all but maybe, just maybe if the language you use to describe Hispanic immigrants and asylum seekers is that closely aligned with the way the El Paso shooter described them - you should probably take a look at what you have been saying as it may be a bit iffy.

To paraphrase Jeff Foxworthy - if your primetime editorial news segment sounds similar to the racist screed of gun toting mass murderer, you may be a white supremacist.

Shaprio when I've seen him, works because the mainstream left in recent years has absorbed many of the barmy ideas and obsessions from the loonie/hard left without challenge or rational examination, so they are easy to dissect and show their double standards. When he presents his own politics, which he often skimps over it because his own views are bollocks. Tucker Carlson was also similar.

If you believe in 'white supremacy' white supremacists are everywhere. The system is suffused with it. If you don't believe in 'white supremacy' they are nowhere. There are scarcely any people that fit that description at all. I know because I've looked.

It's quite a choice. Given the options and based on precedent I would prefer Nazism on the basis that far fewer people die.

I see Booker has come out with his anti white supremacy policy. Still waiting for his anti gun death in black communities policy but I guess he's releasing them based on some risk hierarchy. I do hope that all these anti white supremacy activities don't rely on racial profiling because we all know racial profiling is wrong.

Stalin/USSR had longer

Imagine what Adolf could have accomplished if the pesky Allies hadn't stuck their nose into his business.

4 against one hardly seems fair on Hitler.

But you are right, the commies did seem a bit more indiscriminant on the old killing/famine stuff. At least under Hitler I, personally, would have been okay from an ethnic point of view.

So I guess I would be goose stepping right along side you Santa - hey we do have something in common

Well it's just going back to family tradition for you so you'll fit right in. I might be a little too swarthy and my wife and children a little too Jewish to thrive in a Nazi utopia. Still, probably better than a Commie one. Unless I'm prepared to get my hands dirty if you know what I mean. 4071 knows what I mean.

As to the 4 on 1 I guess socialism is just a more popular way to kill a load of people, which raises the question: is it popular because it kills loads of people or does it kill loads of people because it's so damn popular? 4071?

Nah that’s nonsense. He’s a partisan hack who appeals to rubes who are happy to lump everyone into a wide generalization like “the left”. And he does that to basically anyone who disagrees with him like Andrew Neil. It’s easy to sound authoritative when you’ve talked all your opponents down as marxists or better again hypocritical because they’re marxists and they’re also rich so derp derp derp etc.

I mean even on an appearance level. I find his mannerisms and the sound of his voice grating

But my immediate family are/were pretty liberal for South African's during apartheid (my mom never voted for the NP and my dad is not a South African citizen). Admittedly, my Ouma and Oupa probably did though.

Also - not to defend the Apartheid regime, but genocide wasn't really their thing (not withstanding that there were really horrible things done in the name of segregation.

Can he do a different voice other than his own? Or maybe use a device like in Home Alone 2? I see that as being his biggest problem.

I like that Trump said he'd delay the extra tariffs so as not to hit the American consumer going into the Christmas holidays when he's spent years saying it's China who'll pay the tariffs not the consumer. How does he rise to a level of competence he can get his shoes on in the morning (beyond he probably can't see his feet)?

Factions of the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party

Bolsheviks formed in 1903 from the major split in the RSDLP which also produced the Mensheviks. This faction followed Vladimir Lenin, and organized a separate party, the Russian Social Democratic Workers Party, aka Russian Social Democratic Labour Party (Bolsheviks) in 1912. After the October Revolution, it became the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.

Well, it looks like Tucker has been suspended and is going to be replaced with Ben Shapiro.

Probably means Tucker is out of sight out of mind as a FP advisor on Iran.....

Can't for the life of me fathom the appeal of Shapiro and I think his speed addled demanour is probably best suited to radio.

Well he's got himself into a little bind there. You see he can either say he's a socialist in which case on Marx's theory of historical materialism he supports Russia et al, or he can say he's a Communist with all that that implies.

He's been looking for like-minded friends. And apparently not found them.
