Trump has a thing for military guys. Maybe it has to do with Military hs training and reverence they have for chain of command. He always wanted to be a war hero but never go to war. As a result he added guys like Mad Dog and Kelly. I dislike Trump a lot but those two hires are the ones, I would have voted for, if I was on the Senate. Both of those guys are very straight forward and with great records. You can disagree here or there but as SoD and DoHS there is no doubting they would be competent. Unfortunately there are appointed by a horrible CiC and a joke of functioning cabinet. Moving Kelly to CoS is crazy, Trump should just make it Bannon like he always wanted to.

I have worked under three generals. All Brits. One was a full general, the other two were major-generals (two stars in the British Army).


They were all very confident, strong, and purposefui individuals. They knew how to take care of themselves, and were politically very astute. If Kelly is anything like these men, he will not suffer fools gladly, and he will not put up with any shite at all from anybody, including the Orange Buffoon.
