He's great. You just need to fill out positions 10-15 and you'll be sweet.FullbackAce wrote:Ja, Everyone loves the guy. He still seems too good to be true.JoeyFantastic wrote:Great link, is that the Georgian scrum half from the RWC?
He looks the part alright, will be interesting to see where Georgia go over the next few seasons. From 1 to 9 they seem to have a pretty decent team.FullbackAce wrote:Ja, Everyone loves the guy. Our inside centres are also quality.Zakar wrote:He's great. You just need to fill out positions 10-15 and you'll be sweet.FullbackAce wrote:Ja, Everyone loves the guy. He still seems too good to be true.JoeyFantastic wrote:Great link, is that the Georgian scrum half from the RWC?
If they bring on our second SH at the end you'll see the difference, Props can pass better than that guy.JoeyFantastic wrote:He looks the part alright, will be interesting to see where Georgia go over the next few seasons. You think Georgia can beat Scotland next week?FullbackAce wrote:TV time is not the same as ref watch, they just work on assumptions.
I think Georgia and Samoa are Evenly matched and the ranking atm shows it perfectly. we are 12th because we really are 12th.
I doubt it. We'll batter them, but our attacking game is too one dimensional. Our fly-half is injured and our #14 is slower than a camel, albeit very strong. It's not impossible but chances are slim.Jensrsa wrote:You think Georgia can beat Scotland next week?FullbackAce wrote:TV time is not the same as ref watch, they just work on assumptions.

I expect us to do well in set pieces, but struggle whenever scots spread the ball wide. Whoever dictates the game will win. If we get 80% possession we can do it.
Must be all those years playing for the Crusaders.obelixtim wrote:FullbackAce wrote:I doubt it. We'll batter them, but our attacking game is too one dimensional. Their only plan seems to be to run into contact. The Samoans did the same. Didn't help that the Samoan halfback stopped and rolled a cigarette before distributing the ball.
Why do so many halfbacks do that?. Allowing the defence to get set absolutely kills any chance of the backs mounting an attack. Dumb rugby 101.

Fotualii used to do that a lot with the Crusaders. Times have moved on now and it is becoming a liability.obelixtim wrote:FullbackAce wrote:I doubt it. How's your placekicker? If Georgia can turn their probable scrum and forward dominance into penalties it could come down to a kicking battle.FullbackAce wrote:I doubt it. Atm we have 2 good kickers.#15 Kvirikashvili and #10 Malaguradze They've had bad games but past two matches were pretty good for both so they haven't given us any reason to worry.I like haggis wrote:How's your placekicker? Nice. Do you look forward to this tournament any more though? You know it's going to be another cakewalk. Romania might keep the score to 10 points but that's as close as it will be.FullbackAce wrote:Due to high demand traditional burgundy is back. Actually, We have so many debutantes we might lose to Belgium and Germany. They called up last years U20's in droves. Last time we did this in 2012 we lost our opening game to Spain. So anything can happeniarmhiman wrote:Nice. Do you look forward to this tournament any more though? You know it's going to be another cakewalk. True but your young players are better in 2017 than they were in 2012.FullbackAce wrote:Actually, We have so many debutantes we might lose to Belgium and Germany. Ummm, for what position exactly ?Margin_Walker wrote:Is Lasha Lomidze any good? Rumoured to be heading to London Irish next season
Not actually sure. Probably 8, but our recruitment is all under wraps for next season, so hard to figure out where the gaps in the squad are likely to be.FullbackAce wrote:Ummm, for what position exactly ?Margin_Walker wrote:Is Lasha Lomidze any good? He is very strong and athletic, has a lot of potential. Decision making at N8 lets say leaves much to be desired. he's done well as a flanker and is built like a lock, in case they want to convert him long term(please do we need locks)Margin_Walker wrote:Not actually sure. Is he any good anywhere?
Nice one. May not end up happening, but there's probably room in the squad for someone that physical and can see why he may be a target. Basically he's a work in progress, a lot of potential but needs good coaching. He's been praised in france. likes to carry a little bit too much for my liking.
He's a great defender, tackling and physicality will not be a problem.
If they manage to educate him tactically/improve his decision making he should be an asset.
Let's hope it's to the benefit of both parties, he's got potential.Margin_Walker wrote:Lomidze did sign in the end. Described as a 6/8, so no experiment at lock on the horizon.
Very niceFullbackAce wrote:Another Amazing try. It is turning into a habit it seems. Used to be we only ever scored from a rolling maul. Now 2 phenomenal tries in one month ? So un-Georgian of us

I think Canada/Uruguay game will be extremely hard so not likely. Everyone's harder to beat on the world cup.fonzeee wrote:You should be able to rest some players against Canada/Uruguay though. Especially since they will likely have been battered by Fiji three days prior.
