Question Bowens.

I was watching highlights of Notre Dame at home to North Carolina.

The game was in South Bend. Why were the endzones in the North Carolina's colours.?

Was this recent? They played in Chapel Hill this year.

Ah my mistake. Just seemed to be all Irish fans in the stadium.

Lots of transplants from the midwest & northeast up there (NYC area and some of New England traditionally had lots of ND fans). My wife's cousin lives in Cary, NC. Carpetbagger city! But it's the same where I live. People fleeing the cold.

It's white-out weekend at Penn State. Michigan in town.

That would have taken you 30 seconds to check yourself. And the stadium was half empty and clearly not South Bend.

What confused me was the seemingly larger Notre Dame crowd .

Upset alert in Austin. Gundy was stupid to go for the (missed) field goal instead of try to convert 4th & 2 there.

Offense was confident, Rudolph wanted to go for it. Listen to the crowd. Dumb call, they will lose now.

Texas is horrible. Kick the FG and the game is over. It was 4th and 2 and hindsight is great but you don't go for that.

Terp fan here so I don't like Penn State but if I'm a betting man Penn State clobbers Michigan.

Cary is an acronym. It means Central Area for Relocated Yankees.

There's a lot of IT and pharmaceutical jobs in the area is also a part of it.

Notre Dame destroyed the Trojans. Massive turnaround in form from last year.

Looking at the rankings:

Notre Dame up to 4th.

Is their strength of schedule good enough to keep them ahead of the ACC winners?

ND has to play Miami still so that will sort itself out.

If they get by N.C. State this weekend, most plausible it's been in quite some time for the Irish.

2012 actually. Only 5 years ago.

NC State shouldn't be an issue. Miami and Stanford on the road are the tricky encounters.

Stanford has a couple huge home games left this season: Washington and ND. I wonder if they have an outside shot at getting back into the playoff picture if they win those and the rest of their remaining games.

I actually remember that now. One of the more non-event title games as far as no competition provided by the losing team, although it'd be hard to top Jordan Jefferson throwing the game for LSU vs. Alabama.

I still love college football but the length of games is pretty grating, and it's even worse for Pac 12 fans, who have so many late kickoffs. The biggest culprit IMO is the replay system. The NFL's system is far better. There are way too many stoppages and it not only kills the flow of the game but it makes it take a ridiculously long time.

How 'bout them Dawgs? Gators in ruins after 15 minutes. Bama might get a tough game after all.

That was an easy win in the end.

Nobody remaining on the schedule is playing all that well. I would be confident ND will be one of the 4 playoff teams at this point.

After Khalil Tate went HAM against CU, I've been tuning in to watch my Wildcats as much as I can.

He's nuts.

This game is nuts. Just in case anyone is lurking: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Io9CZSd5lpE
