Woj got told he couldn't break draft picks on Twitter so instead he's saying teams are "focused" or "zeroed in" on a player.

Coach of the Year and fired in the same year.

Has that ever happened before?

I think George Karl won COTY and was fired by the Nuggets back in 2013..... If memory serves they were beaten in the first round by the lower seeded Warriors. Iggy was actually on that Nuggets team having been traded to Denver as part of some multi player deal that sent Bynum from LA to Philly where (second piece of trivia) I believe he never played a single game.

Just saw Uncle Drew, thin and predictable storyline, mostly corny dialogue but entertaining enough and my daughter loved it which was the main thing.

Reggie Millers character "Lights" was my favourite.

Vintage_cox,

What’s your view on Otto Porter? Some of the Pacers fans on a forum I frequent are absolutely dedicated to acquiring him, saying he’s a near/future All-Star etc., but I’m just not seeing it personally...is he really worth the $25M he’s getting yearly?

OPJ is one of the most underrated players in the league. 13th in the league in RPM, 26th in BPM. And he's only 24. Is he on the trade block?

Yeah I remember you wanted the Kings to throw the max at him... then the Nets did it

I like him but. Great shooter, could be a great defender. Don't know about an all-star because he hasnt shown much ability to put the ball on the floor and create much

But he is overpaid and the Wizards are complwtely jammed up with contracts. He's on the trade block for that reason (plus the obvious talent of Kelly Oubre). Wizards twitter keep throwing his name into they're fantastical trade scenario for Boogie, which would give the Pelicans the sharpshooting wing they desperately need. But I hate the thought of his contract alongside Jrue's (not to mention AD's potential megamax in 2019 that would be the largest contract ever)

He can't create for shit - but neither can Klay.

The problem I have with Otto is his recurring hip injury - that scares me a little.

I'd certainly take him over Boogie, tho. Boogie needs to prove himself again.

Not long until it all kicks off....

LeBron was just spotted landing in LA with his wife. Could mean nothing, could mean everything

Woj updates: Boogie "very likely" staying in NOLA. Spurs trade talks with Celtics, Lakers, Sixers not far along at all...

Is Boogie healthy yet?

Kawhi situation is kind of an obvious stalemate since the Spurs would prefer not to trade with the Lakers and no-one else is going to offer much because he might just be a one year rental. Personally I would rather we just stand pat, no need to help the Lakers or make Lebron's decision any easier. Or for that matter do Kawhi camp any favours.

The Celtics made an offer to the Spurs at the trade deadline and I'd be surprised if they've made a better offer since.

Ecited for it all to kick off... a touch concerned Chicago blow the doors off for Lavine, guy is not an intelligent player.

My son has been pestering me to sign him up for the Steven Adams camp this year, turns out there isn't one in Wellington as it's in Palmerston North instead. Oh well, I guess we're gonna stay in P-town North in August.

It would take a pretty 'ballsy' move by Lebron to sign with the Lakers first ahead of any potential signing with Paul George or anyone else.

I'd imagine he'd only do if he'd been in some back channel discussions similar to the Miami situation. He knows the Lakers have plenty of cap room and PG is an unrestricted free agent so there's nothing standing in the way of that if everyone wants to do it. The Kawhi thing is much more complicated and much less likely obviously.
