Also, this Houston formal appeal thing is such bullshit.

It's just a missed call, there's plenty of other non subjective missed calls you could point out being just as cut and dried (eg goal tend where the ball hits glass first, foot/ball on line on out of bounds/back court/3 point shots etc). It was really unlucky for them, but a missed call is a missed call. No need to reinforce their reputation as the whiniest bitches in the league.

He's been passing very well all season.

Very enjoyable game.

Tank on hold for that W is worth it - especially with SGA ballin.

Side note, the TAB has pretty much banned me from betting b/c I've been winning too much. Pretty funny - but kinda sucks.

Two horses that I have small shares in raced at Alexandra Park last night. They both won. My $10 multi on both of them returned $900...

Put about $30 of other bets on (win/place multis & a win bet on the first runner) and nabbed another $396.

I'm still well down for my punting lifetime though. :(

Damn! Nicely done.

I seem to recall NZer giving the bored a tip on a horse some years ago. If memory serves me correctly, it ran dead last.

I've stuck to sports since...

They're now racing in Group 1 races next Saturday, so I used some of the winnings to book flights and a hotel in Auckland on the slim chance one of them wins (they're both definitely place chances though).

Good job. The first time is a badge of honor but it gets really annoying and shitty every time after that. The Euro and Antipodean books are notorious for being extremely risk averse and banning or severely limiting winners. Actually any book in a regulated environment as these Euro books have brought their shitty business practices to the US with them. Your best bet is to look at the top offshore books: Pinnacle, Bookmaker and Sportsbetting/Betonline/Lowvig. Each has their benefits and drawbacks but they’re the only offshores where I wouldn’t sweat a 6 figure balance and who basically won’t limit you on major US sports sides and totals.

As long as I've been on here - which is too long - I know you've always been keen on the ponies. Do people still call them "ponies"?!

All this must be a thrill for you. Let us know how they do. BOL.

Free money for those that have a TAB account and a bet365 account.

Pistons v. Mavericks.

Luke Kennard player option/prop. He's currently paying $2.11 for over 3.5 rebounds at the TAB, and $2.30 for under 3.5 rebounds at bet365.

90% or so of horses don't win a race. Maybe 1% at most would line up in a Group 1. So to have two in one night (and to have chances with both of them) is crazy. Sure, my share is 1.67% but who cares!

The Bucks extend their winning streak to 17 games. Can they keep it going until their match up with the Lakers in about a week's time?

Yes of course they will. Their only worry is the Mavs but they have them at home.

Luckily I didn't. But I would've gone Mavs line anyway. I like to make things interesting.

Utah have traded Dante Exum & some picks for Jordan Clarkson. Should help Utah a bit with bench scoring but they're still a mid table team.

To start the season the Pels were last/second last defensively...

Over the past 4 games with Favors healthy and coming off his minutes restriction (and over the death of his mom) we are FIRST!!

We're now 9-3 since I wrote this. They've turned the corner since the 13 game losing streak and the schedule is so much easier in the second half of the season... and guess who's back next week

I hope they know what they're doing. I'd lock him down for the season and keep him in the lab.

ZION.

Just decides to drop 17 points in about 4 seconds...

4/4 from 3.

Please let this man stay healthy.

Finished with 22/7/3 in 18 minutes, even after feeling himself (taking it easy, I mean) through his first 3 stints on the floor.

That's hellishly impressive for a debut game.

List of NBA career scoring leaders:

1. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar - 38,387
2. Karl Malone - 36,928
3. Kobe Bryant - 33,643
4. Lebron James - 33,599
5. MIchael Jordan - 32,292

I'll be surprised if Lebron manages to pass Kareem before his NBA career ends, but you never know in this day and age.

So smooth shooting from 3. He's a legend already.

All Star starters announced.

West - no surprises

Luka
Harden
James
Kawhi
AD

East -
Trae Young
Kemba
Siakam
Giannis
Embiid

Young makes it cause people don't care about defence or winning and cause Jimmy Butler can't be included as a guard. No Caruso either.

He hasn't been better than Lillard.

Young's putting up big numbers but he plays about half his minutes in garbage time and he's like the 3rd worst defender in the league.

He's getting no help from his teammates. Put him in a good team and he'd be like Curry.

Like a 2nd rate version maybe, not everyone is willing to sacrifice like Curry. Regardless I think winning should be a consideration and good team or bad team, Young is still a trash defender. Still, better than Kyrie making it after missing 25 games or whatever though.
