I thought Pau was a bad fit as well - but he looks to be getting it together...

Clippers/Grizz has been fun, as it usually is. Clips up 2 with 1:27 to play.

EDIT: Clippers lose! You know you can't trust these guys come the playoffs...

Strange timing in Bouncer's comment, Pau has been in good form since the Detroit game last Friday.

I'm not

 Wizards one of a select few I just can't watch.

Lakers, Nets, Wolves all watchable this year, it's brilliant.

A few teams I'm struggling for a read on. Have no feel for the Spurs' ceilng, Pau was such an awful signing for them, as I could have told them he would be.

The guy posting those highlight vids is a credit to the league. 10 minutes of goodness within a couple hours of every game finishing, I owe him big.

The book is well out on late career Pau at this stage. Money from mid range and a creative passer. But he is just so anaemic on the other end. I love him as a role player at this stage, but I just can’t get on board with 20 mill and a starting berth on a team with title aspirations.

Btw, Jimmy Butler has been on a whole other level this year.

In the running for 2nd best in the east.

Damn, there are a lot of good young centers coming up in the NBA at the moment.

Joel Embiid looks like an absolute beast. He picks & pops from the 3 point line well. He also swivels and pivots in the paint with speed. Hopefully he stays healthy.

PHX up 101-99 with 1:20 to go... Wall scores the last 7 to win 101-106

Beal with career high 42 - earn that paycheck!

Pellies looking great now.

The Thunder are in free fall. Just not enough good players. No shooting.

Currently the bench wings (Abrines/Morrow/Singler) are shooting a combined 20.8% from 3 (15/72). :uhoh:

I thought they could drop to 35 wins this season. That's looking odds on at the moment.

I hear it's a deep draft...

My early season prediction was that the Thunder would be a 50-50 team that would place about 8th in the Western Conference, and that's only if Westbrook stays healthy. I don't know what the 3 point stats are across all NBA team, but I'm guessing that the Thunder would place near the bottom in that category.

Spurs with a quality road win in Boston, rolling now, 8 wins in a row.

Patty Mills with the corner three to ice the game, same as Parker two nights ago in Charlotte.

They are 22nd in the league in 3P%. The 8 sides below them all have losing records.

The top 4 sides? Spurs, Cavs, Clippers, and Warriors...

It's difficult to win in today's NBA without reliable 3-point shooting. Against the Thunder, everyone just clogs the paint and dares them to shoot from the outside. Their half-court offense is an abomination.

Anyway, the team is very young - second youngest in the league, I think. They are clearly rebuilding. It's tough to watch at times, but I am not surprised by any of it.

JJ Redick with 9 consecutive pts, Clips only trail the Pistons by 2 at the end of the third having been down 17 earlier in the quarter.

Damn. Russell Westbrook is currently averaging a triple double after nearly a quarter of the regular season gone. 30.9 points, 11.3 assists, 10.3 rebounds.

If Westbrook can keep it going he might threaten to match Oscar Robertson's triple double season record of 30.8 points, 11.4 assists, 12.5 rebounds. The only other player that I know who came close to averaging a triple double during a season was Magic Johnson in 1981-82 who averaged 18.6 points, 9.5 assists, 9.6 rebounds.

 Crazy, crazy end to the 1st period of OT in Clips-Nets game. Doc Rivers got tossed, Nets missed 3 of 4 free throws to seal the win (Nets were in the bonus + Docs tech) then Clips hit a three to tie.

Yeah it was funny as hell, Doc had a complete meltdown.

Great game from Paddy Mills tonight - 5/6 from downtown, 15 pts in the 4th. Spurs come from behind to win late in the 4th.

OKC get the win over the Pelicans.

Westbrook with his fifth triple double joining Jordan, Robertson and Chamberlain as the only other players.

Odds on for MVP?

Klay Thompson is widely considered the Warriors 4th best player.

He just dropped 60(!) points in 3 quarters against the Pacers.

Cavs gonna have to thug it up in the Finals... play really slow and dirty.

Clippers are what they are every year - likely losers in the 2nd round.

Maybe they'll get to the WCF? I wouldn't bet on it, tho.
