Tbf, that is basically a Cherwell/OxStu article that has somehow found its way into the Guardian. The journalist actually does write for Cherwell.eldanielfire wrote:https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfr ... ford-union

Perhaps they did not approve of this one.
Iimo there are crazy political monsters on both sides. Conservatives guns toting, anti-abortion, anti-healthcare, anti-environmental stances can't be for society. Look for all the shootings in schools. Likewise the insane "we'll spend like there is no bankruptcy, Maths what's that?" approach couldn't with some insane stances like claiming "women with a penis is no different to biological women and your a bigot if you say otherwise" SJW, hierarchy of oppression type of thinking.Seneca of the Night wrote:There will always be jobs for Conservatives in Washington. The people who should be really scared are the power-crazed numbskulls in the Democrat party who thought they could control this Frankenstein monster of diversity and third world idiocy they've unleashed upon America. Conservatives are scared of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez apaprently. Despite the fact she is so bad on figures and finances (Where the f*ck did she get her economics degree?) and is basically embarrassingly bad on TV every time she tries to use them before running away from any public debate, hey are apparently scared of her. I doubt it, I've seen nothing but laughter from most conservatives at one gaff after another. Her maths frequently makes Diane Abbot look like a numerical genius.

We rarely tell positive stories about men and it’s time we stopped being part of a culture that vilifies them
'The orgasm gap' is a new one on me. I know there's long been a narrative about female sexual gratification being neglected by men, but I've never seen it formalised in the terminology of the pay gap or positioned alongside it in terms of importance as a touchstone for gender inequality.eldanielfire wrote:In the interests of fareness:

Conservatives will be thrilled that this thick-as-mince woman is becoming quite popular with some of the left.eldanielfire wrote:https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfr ... coat-women

I think Tim Pool mentioned for all her hype something like 80 or 90% of far left candidates failed in the primaries making the narrative the Democrats are going left a false one. This only makes her stand out as a attention magnet who will be a liability given her prior performances, SJW excuse making and idiotic economic statements. Some examples of her terrible performances:fatcat wrote:Conservatives will be thrilled that this thick-as-mince woman is becoming quite popular with some of the left.eldanielfire wrote:https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfr ... coat-women

I think this xmas, I'll play Guardian or Daily Mash/Onion/Betoota Advocate; a player must read an article and decide whether it is spoof or Guardian. Sherry for any misidentificationsockwithaticket wrote:Disney committing an act of colonialism by attempting to trade-mark 'Hakuna Matata'

They absolutely shouldn't be allowed to do it, but the accusation of colonialism is misplaced and shrill.
As the article notes in the final paragraph, Disney tried the same thing with Dia de los Muertos recently when they brought out a film with those themes.
It's a story about corporate overreach and objectionable attempts to commodify existing language that predates the company's usage of it, not of cultural appropriation.
Dressing up legitimate issues with this kind of bollocks risks diverting attention from what's truly happening and what people should be angry about.
