Nothing resembling decent back-line moves and nary one quick or slippery back.

Utter, utter crap.

Allegedly their coach could play a bit once upon etc etc. How incredibly interesting.

Early ranking.

1. Sharks 2. Lions 3. Stomps 4. Cheetahs/Bulls. Category of his own, Waylon Murray the King.

Easily the best SA side this season so far, and the only SA side that has really tested themselves against foreign sides.

French fossil needs to be retired. Nowhere near as good an option as Bosch. First Brumbies try, he was the last man on the wing and it looked like he couldn't run. He seems to have two speeds, slow jog and a bit faster jog. It's shocking.

Well done to Am, loaning him to the Kings last year worked out well for us. That centre combination did well today.
Stomps are, so far, clearly the best side in SA Ox.

That's where the loss of so many experienced players will cost the Brumbies this year...

They had plenty of opportunities to take that in the end, and they blew it.

Massive improvement in that 2nd half. Good to finally see some variation in attack, using the big boys (Ruan Botha in particular who was best on ground) as distributors to a sweeping backline. For far too long all phase attack had been static and one dimensional.

Still lots to improve, particularly discipline, but great to see some genuine progress.

Ahhh fahfxcks-sake, well done Shorks, kept in there, strong consistent work with many fases, deserved the win.

Well, that sucks, so interesting farting about in the line out circa 2004, good young scrummy but got over eager, pedantic but correct ref, but just no spark, with the cattle we have there really should be more going on.

Whelp, looking forward to the Warratits after travelin an facing the Shorks at home, though the Force might just have the nouse to do us in as well, Brumbies just looking a pale shade of teams gone by, hope they can find some motivation.

The pertinent question is 'Can Melon do any worse', Guess Bernie is just one of those intuitive athlets who cant verbalise his intentions, translate his mental process's to coaching guidlines.....I guess im trying to say....stupidly talented player, crappy coach unfortunately, an the heart rate monitor was just feckin annoying...

What a good win!

Two excellent fight backs

Bosch is a good footballer to be able to put that last kick through

Like to see the back line running onto the ball more as once they get going they have good skills

Pretty good tour all round

Well done Sharks

Chilli and Monk, you both forget I know my rugby. :smug:

Foolish to be sucked in by a low quality Stomps v Bulls derby. The Sharks and Lions are clearly out ahead of the other SA sides. Stomps achieve third place, because of their impressive tight five, it's powderpuff behind that though and any side that beats them up front will be well on their way to destroying them. Cheetahs and Bulls haven't been impressive at all, and play each other in a derby so no new information there, they sit in the cellar. Kings have done better than expected so far, the best ever Kings side, lots of nearly men in the team, may not come last this season.

My take on the game.

Beast is playing some great rugby. But Franco Marais cost us lineouts and penalties, replaced by a much better Chilliboy.
Great to see Lewies back, I forgot what an all-round game he brings.
Good work by our 3 eighthmen

I still feel our 10-12-13 combo isn't working, and I believe it was the 50 minute mark before we started seeing the ball go down the line. Still nobody really straightening up, apart from a couple of moves to bring Mvovo into the line that were effective. But I really like the look of Am, seems to bring a nice touch of flair to the backline and he had a good game before he scored the matchwinner.

Another poor game from the Frenchman, I'm struggling to see what he brings so far. Good cameo from Bosch to set up that superb try.

Our work around the breakdown was notably. du Preez has obviously told the team to get stuck in, and without a specialist it became a bit of a free for all, with only a couple of successes from backline players. We really miss Marcel Coetzee and Bismark.

Happy with 5 points from the tour, lets see how we get on at the Sharktank 8)

But ja, apart from Michalak we have Fat Stevens, Mouritz Botha, Jack Wilson, Hernandez, that Aussie lock from a couple of seasons ago.
