It is very early in the season for Sards to be presenting as the benchmark broken man.

Here's hoping it's merely early round wobbles and he regains a modicum of mojo sharpish.

That wont be a time for fishing...low tide...just peckers stealing your bait.

Perfect time to start a fire and swallow a few cold ones. I will have my youngsters fetching the beers

That was 13 years ago  but still quite funny.

He was a great player at Toulouse, hopefully he can bring some of that magic on Saturday.

Let's be honest though, we haven't had a decent 15 since Montgomery :((

Having been born in South Africa, Roos moved to Australia at the age of 12 and started his rugby career with junior club the Sylvania Bulldogs.

Selected for the Western Sydney Rams for the 2015 National Rugby Championship Roos excelled and his string of fine performances led to a call up the Australian Barbarians team that toured New Zealand in the latter part of 2015.

"I am delighted to be joining the Brumbies and look forward to helping the team achieve their goals in 2017," Roos said.

"It is fantastic to get a chance to be a part of such a well-renowned organisation. The Brumbies have a reputation and culture in the rugby community that is second to none and I am excited by the prospect of being able to play my part in the Super Rugby season."

I was watching some old clips of Andre Joubert the other day. There hasn't been anybody quite like him. There is something so exciting about a large, fast and imposing fullback. Strange how these days they seem to be midgets.

The Sharks were hugely impressive against a strong Reds team away from home, a bogey side for the Sharks. Looked the leanest and fittest I can remember them coming off the pre-season. Were strong in defence. Pack did well especially Tendai. Backline were moving the ball a lot, but the conditions didn't suit it. Pat was double touching, passing to the man outside then looping for another take, showed attacking intent. French fossil needs to be sent to the glue factory asap, our attack would've been much better without him.

Now some quick thoughts on the Stomps v Bulls match, as this thread has been invaded them. This match provided more evidence Pollard is an overhyped average player, like the RWC semifinal, this will be ignored. He's playing in an overhyped average Bulls team. The Stomps have an impressive tight five, everything behind that is powderpuff. As soon as they are matched up front, they will collapse. Evidence for this, is SP Marais being my man of the match. He dominated an average Bulls side, and bossed an average Stomp backline. Kolbe is a diver. It was a very poor match, what was once average CC standard.

 Anyone using the name Lambie and impressive in the same paragraph is just showing either complete lack of rugby knowledge or immense man love for a baby face. Just the fact that you seems to think that he is better than Pollard confirms it. Attacking intend? Even the Kings have attacking intent but what does that help them? How many years in a row is it now that have you been predicting that this will be the Guppies' year to take the title? Dream on mate dream on. At least you have enough sense to criticize the Frenchioner. What a disgrace that he is occupying a space in the squad that could have been filled by a budding talent from S.A..

sharks lost to the reds by way of bad captaincy. they had several easily kickable penalties that would have put them in charge but instead their skipper went for the basil bey option.

why oh why can we not have neutral referees in this tournament?

the greed has seen the thing expanded into this bloated beast and yet they economise with these homer refs.
